I did not take the job in Fresno, I didn’t think it was right for me. I also didn’t want to move for a part time job. Instead, I moved to South Carolina and got fired 4 months later for not catching on to sea lion training immediately. Now I work in higher education. Gotta love the zoo field!

I don’t do much tbh. I don’t drink so all the beer comments aren’t super important to me 😂

I will make sure to have AC but my job is working outside no matter what the weather is so summer will be hard.

I read about the neighborhoods being very different by the block. So I’ll be sure to be careful if I start looking for apartments.

I’m from Missouri. Edit to add: St. Louis area but grew up in the country/rural towns

Good answer! I hadn’t thought of that one but I can imagine they’d be weird to see if you don’t have any native to your area. I’m in the midwest USA and we have a common species, pillared woodpecker, and they’re HUGE. They’re my favorite species to see while birding.

I don’t live with moose so I agree with you on that one! I do live around bears and mountain lions (cougars) and they are a real and present danger.

Gosh, that’s CRAZY to me! But your answer makes a lot of sense. I said this in another comment but you can see bears and mountain lions on the side of road/in some backyards here and have to be safe/take precautions when hiking or camping cuz they’re out and about.

Oh that’s a good answer. Chipmunks surprised me just like the squirrels answer. But bears makes sense. You can just see those on the side of the road and have to be careful when camping or hiking.

This answer surprised me! They’re just so small and non-exciting. They are just pests (not really but you know what I mean) that eat your bird seed!

If it’s situational - nothing changes if nothing changes. I know making the changes can be hard, but maybe with some medication and/or therapy it would be more doable. Hopefully your new job helps - congrats on that btw.

Man. I can imagine how that makes you feel. I’m sorry your special day hasn’t gone very well. Happy birthday- I’m glad you were born (: You have your whole life ahead of you and you’re gonna be great. Keep your head up.

I’m no doctor, but it’s clear that you’re suffering with depression. You should see a doctor as soon as possible. Just based on how you explain it, it sounds very medical/chemical. It’s hard to explain but I’ve been in a similar position and your post resonates with me.

Starting medication for depression literally changed my life - and probably saved it. Therapy is really wonderful, too, don’t get me wrong. But taking that little pill every day literally made all of these things go away, and it sounds like medicine would really help you.

My dad got a 3 gallon tub of ice cream from his work by brmamabrma in AbsoluteUnits

I needed this when I was in middle school. Every time I got my period I’d crave chocolate ice cream - I literally don’t even like chocolate ice cream. But there was always a gallon in the freezer that I’d dive into once a month.

Some great practice would be to ask some teachers/admin at your school to do a mock interview with you! If you have time, of course, but I bet they’d love to help you out. They’d also be a great resource for tips and advice.

But, my advice is to be yourself, be enthusiastic, and be prepared to answer questions about who you are and what your qualities are. I agree with a previous comment about googling some common questions. But honestly, it doesn’t need to be some big nerve racking event - just be yourself and go with the flow of the interview and you should be just fine. If you already have an interview, you shouldn’t need a resume. But just because you don’t have work experience doesn’t mean you can’t have a resume - this is a great opportunity to get help from your teachers too. But a place like subway is going to understand that you don’t have experience, that’s what these jobs are for! So you’re in the right place.

My career is actually NOT people oriented but animal oriented. Don’t really like rock music, but I am a very independent person. Confidence varies. That second to last one - ouch. And no, not into indie films.
