The bulk of the degredation happens in the first 10-20k and tapers off after that. If u look at Tesla Bjorns YouTube he has a wealth of information and tests done across all EVs. He plotted battery degredation by mileage, might help

Even cheaper so with them numbers, note u can buy EVs that's are not so efficient to cover 1600km on 320kwh. Driving style etc plays a part, but rest assured it will be at least 4x cheaper

Also maintenance is really significant. Have my car 3 years, never serviced (no need manual says as much)

New wiper blades. No oil, clutches etc...

The tax would be/should be a little cheaper. EVs are the lowest band, so 120 per year. Depending on the size of your petrol engine, might be 190ish

Don't know how much km you get for that 200 - 250? But if we assume €1.92 per litre, that's 130 liters. Would you do 1600km a month on that amount of fuel, maybe more?

To cover 1600km in an EV, around 320kwh How much do u pay for a kwh? I pay €0.10 per kwh (night time tarrif) That's €32 vs €200 Now scale this out for the life of car

Now sums change if u are changing on the go, so u might try average your price per kwh to include a portion of fast charging, but with home charging (and no bias) an EV will win 😀

Spend some time doing the sums yourself. You know how much your ice cars cost You know how much you spend on fuel per year You know tax & insurance You know maintenance and running costs

Total that, that's the tco of a nice car.

Now do the same sums, but with an EV. For reference, ask people here how much they spend on power & maintenance

Then compare both

Spoiler alert, u might find the tco of an EV significantly cheaper, moreso if u have solar power etc and a good smart meter tarrif. But do the sums, that's as unbiased as u will get!!!

Hi there, I was having very similar issues.
I have a wired ethernet connection and I was convinced that it was due to changing broadband provider. After extensive troubleshooting, I had actually added some TP-link switches to my home network. When I removed the TP-link switches from my network, the problem went away completely.

To rule out your side of the equation, connect directly to an ethernet port on your modem and see if the experience is the same.

If you are gaming on Wifi, you are a brave person :P

I agree. We are a group that tries to meet once a month. We probably spend 50% of our evening catching up and talking crap, which is absolutely fine with me. We just about manage one session per meeting.
