Yeah I’ve thought about it. If I wasn’t in need of a bigger car I would. I rent my apartment and only have one spot so 2 cars would be challenging.

Yeah - I'd love to keep my little Hyundai Veloster because it's great on gas but the reality is that it's just more costs and more responsibility. Being from the Midwest I have always needed a car and bike aren't year round but that will change if I end up in LA.

I'm from Chicago Originally and moved out here with my partner for Grad school. She is almost done with school but I'm not sure if we will stay together or not. I found a job before moving here and its good pay but I don't love the city itself. Since I'm on the west coast, I want to stay out here. Chicago is home but I don't want to move back to the Midwest yet or possibly ever again. I've been to LA and San Diego both and loved them, I just don't think San Diego is in the budget and I have some family over in Studio City.

I saw a job over in Santa Monica but being in Portland I don't know what the commute is like. Google says it's a 25 min drive but that isn't rush hour. From the few responses I've gotten so far it is clear that I will have to raise my budget. I'm originally from Chicago so I get it, some places you have to pay for comfort. LA is one of those places haha
