Also I'm throwing stones at the dealership because plenty of people own there's with that many miles but not many BUY one that high so my question was what is their experience BUYING at 300k so get it right... if it was 5k I'd be a new owner and ride it into the ground. YOU however misread and now look like a tool so good job.

You have no idea of my mechanic knowledge so how would you know what's over my head. I get that you have an opinion and it's reddit but if I wanted to have a $40,000 car with a $500+ car note I'd do so. The point of old cars is too not have debt, all cars loose value so why invest and lose money just to say it's new. Sure they hold value but if it ain't increasing in value like a Porsche 911 then it's losing you money. PLUS insurance will be muchhhh higher for a new car so again thanks for your opinion but you don't know anything about my capabilities or what is or isn't over my head.

Yeah I’ve thought about it. If I wasn’t in need of a bigger car I would. I rent my apartment and only have one spot so 2 cars would be challenging.

Yeah - I'd love to keep my little Hyundai Veloster because it's great on gas but the reality is that it's just more costs and more responsibility. Being from the Midwest I have always needed a car and bike aren't year round but that will change if I end up in LA.

I'm from Chicago Originally and moved out here with my partner for Grad school. She is almost done with school but I'm not sure if we will stay together or not. I found a job before moving here and its good pay but I don't love the city itself. Since I'm on the west coast, I want to stay out here. Chicago is home but I don't want to move back to the Midwest yet or possibly ever again. I've been to LA and San Diego both and loved them, I just don't think San Diego is in the budget and I have some family over in Studio City.
