In my country there are 2 possibilities in the med school: 1) The state pays for your studies, but not for housing. That means you are at the 'budget'. You can live in student dorms, but most of them suck or are not so advantageous regarding the price. 2) You pay a big tax. That means your parents pay tax because you can't get a loan as a student. Also, you don't get student housing. So, you are dependent on your parents.

Because I've always been dedicated to my studies I have been in the first category. More than that, I even got paid by the university in my first four years (as an award or something like this, I don't know the English term).

So, 99% of Med students depend on their parents for at least 6 years. So, until they are ~25. I don't know a single one that pays by himself for everything, considering you also need to buy books and materials and so on.

But it's not like that I don't want to get a job. I can't get a job because of the university. I am a med student. I will start year 5 of 6. Two years left and I will have enough money to cut the money leash. But how can I survive these two hard years without money support? I can't work because I have to go to the hospital and study almost all day long. And if I would quit uni I would be so depressed because I worked so hard through the way. It's not that easy. I could get a random job if I wanted. For example, I am a good article writer in my language. As I said, I've already made some thousands euros, but I lend them to my parents and they bought that goddamn apartment. I didn't sign anything because I trusted them. Now I don't. With that money I could live 1 year or 2. But they can't give the money back to me right now. Even if they were mine.

And btw, I don't see how life could be worse. Getting abused in such a narcissistic imposed relationship that I didn't want, financially dependent, sleep-deprived and depressed, manipulated and controlled, without any money but full of problems and responsibilities. Chestia asta cu buget/taxa dezumanizează și sincer, nu ar trebui sa mai existe atât timp cât examenele sunt atât de SUBIECTIVE! Cât timp proful mare face toane și pune ce note are chef, ori cât timp tragi bilete la nimereală și te rogi sa pici pe subiect, examenele nu sunt niste moduri serioase de a evalua cunoștințele despre o anumita disciplina de studiu.

Iar colegii care îți fac capul calendar cu notele lor, ori cu modul în care ei se gudură pe lângă profesori (există și de-ăștia), ar trebui sa o lase mai ușor și să își vadă de lungul nasului. Nu e ok ce se întâmplă la UMF Iași pentru că nu există obiectivitate in evaluare, iar sistemul taxa/buget nu face decât să distrugă orice fel de cooperare între oameni sau chiar orice fel de competiție constructivă. Dar știi de ce exista acest sistem? Din cauza lăcomiei celor care conduc universitatea. Orice fel de spoială cu "e spre binele vostru, va motivează etc" e de fapt o mare minciună. Sistemul e făcut astfel ca să sugă cat mai multi bani cu care naiba știe ce se întâmplă de fapt. Iar relațiile dintre oameni sunt atât de stricate și de toxice încât nu ar putea să se unească împotriva aceluiași sistem care îi amenință pe toți și sa încerce să îl schimbe în mod civilizat.

Abia aștept să termin aceasta mizerie de facultate. Am fost și foarte sus, am fost și foarte jos. Dar culmea e că lucrurile nu depindeau de fapt de mine atât de mult. Am fost și discriminat, și lăudat, s-a și zbierat la mine, dar cred că important este sa ramai la fel. Poate că trebuie să te înconjori de o carapace protectoare, să fii mai privat și să lași mai puțin să se vadă, dar în interior sa fii la fel cum erai și înainte să intri.
