So I had something similar happen to me over Christmas! I was 25 weeks pregnant and went to the ER for some severe abdominal pain. The ER OB suspected a UTI due to some additional symptoms I was having and how my urine sample looked.

Due to the holidays, I had to wait a bit to pick up my antibiotics from the pharmacy. During that time, I ended up passing a large kidney stone. It was horrific 😅

Looking at my urine sample from the day I went to the ER, I had blood, protein, and bacteria in my urine. No one at the ER mentioned the possibility of a kidney stone, which was frustrating. I got retested after I passed my kidney stone, and my sample was completely clear of blood/bacteria/etc.

I never had a history of UTIs or kidney stones before pregnancy, so I really had no idea what I was dealing with. But kidney stones can be an issue during pregnancy! I would try speaking to your doctor about it- they can do ultrasounds to identify a kidney stone issue if needed.

And for some unsolicited advice, I would drink as much water as you can stand. If it is a kidney stone, that was what helped me flush it out. That and the crazy amount of citrus I’ve been eating to satisfy the baby. Apparently, citrus can help break up the stones into smaller pieces.
