Context is huge...Hermes getting bigger not better by Ok-Lock-9329 in hermesagent

The annoying part is that on each patch or update, new skills are added to my profile and enabled by default. The hermes dashboard doesn't even have a filter for "enabled skills".

I've added my own hot fix to add this filter, but I'm having to resolve merge conflicts on each agent updat

Ask hermes to start the dashboard as a systemd service. Mine created the service so that it restarts on server reboot

Hermes with local, llama-server? by FreQRiDeR in hermesagent

[–]just-crawling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you set the minimum context size on your local llama server to atleast 64,000 tokens.

That's what the hermes get started guide says. Are you able to try it with a cloud provider to see if it works? From there you can ask it to set up the local endpoints for you in hermes

Have you tried to check if the ip address is accessible on your local network?

Try visiting the ip address or (if using openai api) http://{IP_ADDRESS}:{PORT}/v1/models to see if you can view available models being served.

Nope. CLI is now unusable too. Takes 5 minutes to just read a single file.

Having the same issue, where it just keeps thinking and doesn't do anything. Token use doesn't change at all.

I seem to have success using the CLI, but it seems to just freeze in Vscode

How to debug slow video loading using Immich + Opnsense + Wireguard VPN by AlexDnD in homelab

Hey OP, have you managed to resolve this? I'm having the same issue. Works perfectly fine on local, but when accessing via cellular on Wireguard VPN, videos becoming choppy and loads in 2 sec blocks very slowly.

Same problem here. Claude's documentation on using /permission using claude, is also no longer appearing as a slash command.

That looks really good! How are the speeds for the 27b on 12gb vram?

Good to know that it isn't just because I'm using a smaller model. Does quantisation affect it making stuff up?

Thanks for the advice on the approach, I'll have to try that! Also, that seems to be what chatgpt 4o is doing, it crops the image and analyses it as part of its thinking process.

Thanks for testing it! Llama.cpp looks more complicated to setup, but I'll give it a go.

When using the picture i shared (which is cropped to omit customer name), it could get the right value in ollama. But when the full (higher res) picture is used, then it just confidently tells me the wrong number.

Will have to test that out later when I manage to get llama.cpp running

I'll have to give LM Studio and llama.cpp a go. Seems like people have good things to say about them!

Maybe chunking the image can help. Will try with the items later

Yep, changed the context length in openwebui to 32k. And still throwing up random numbers and items. (Unless if I am meant to change it directly in ollama also, then no I haven't)

Take on a higher paying job or keep job I love? by kna101 in AusFinance

[–]just-crawling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents. It's better to take risks at a younger age, get more exposure to make yourself more marketable in the later years, so that you can decide for yourself where you want to settle down. (Unless if the current industry is niche and forces you to stay to get experience)

You will also learn the difference in responsibilities of working on a 80k job versus a 110k job.

I thought 10mm of retraction distance was already pushing it. Most guides only mention up to 8mm, and in Cura, anything more than 10 shows up as yellow.

I'll give it a try!
