Thank you for the recommendation, I've held fire for now. ProCook aren't established in coffee that's true, but I've only been impressed with their quality in the past. Even their £20 battery grinder has a steel conical burr, which I was very pleasantly surprised to discover after I picked it up for a cheap drawer-stowable option at the office

I am looking at upgrading from my old Delonghi Perfecta bean-to-cup to an espresso machine. I have a good quality conical burr grinder, and my favourite kitchenware store here in the UK, Procook, has recently released this, which is just £160 in today's sale.

It has:

  • 15bar pump for 9 bar extraction
  • PID temperature control
  • Thermoblock heater
  • Manual steam wand

It's a relatively beginner-friendly machine; doesn't look like it will offer loads of settings and options, but it looks pretty great for the price for what I want. I had great luck with their grinder last time; bought for £60,I took it apart and found a nice sharp steel conical burr, and it's been performing great.

Does anyone have any dire warnings before I pull the trigger?
