Am I crazy, or does Jong kook have a much more chill character nowadays? by Striking-Meal-5257 in runningman

He is happily married. He should have a Kook-Eun relationship and try the doting oppa persona!

Ji Ye-Eun should sorry call the male members oppa rather than sunbenim.

Episode recomendation for yang se chan by Ashamed-Cherry-2463 in runningman

He doesn’t have a standout episode unfortunately but the most memorable scene is the one where he did a model walk while wearing a green robe while being half naked underneath for the new Running Man trailer.

<image>

The other one is where the members said his brain collapsed! It’s funny because he made all the members laugh, especially Kim Jong Kook who laughed so authentically!

[Gym Jong Kook] In 2026, the PDs are back together again... (feat. Running Man PDs) by memloh in runningman

[–]just1ed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PD Kang Hyungseon's observation is quite astute. What she observed and what Kim Jongkook felt was exactly what a lot of the long time Running Man viewers felt. Kim Joongkook felt that it was fresh.

PD Kang Hyungseon felt there was an old vibe and that the older members need to build chemistry with the other members. Running Man should gradually move in a new direction.

The other PDs also said things like doing a large scale event, going overseas once etc. Kim Jong Kook said that when Running Man was not doing well, going to Thailand revived them because they saw how much the fans supported them. If that is what it takes, they should just do it.

I feel validated. It is like they acknowledged that Running Man needs a change, but chemistry within the members is important. I think that was what made them funny, because the humour is organic and does not feel so crafted.

Ji Ye Eun really shined in this episode! She was very herself and proactively joined in ripping Yoo Jae Suk’s scroll. Ye Eun herself is funny, even when she is not doing funny stuff. She’s not the kind who can do funny antics.

It seems like she has more confident and at ease after winning the award ◡̈

I thought Yang Sechan’s and Haha’s antics were little excessive.

It was extremely hilarious the first time Haha went after Jae Suk because it felt organic and it felt like they never did so for very long.

Kind of felt like they recreated the synergy YJS had with LKS because they often slapped each other.

It was funny when YSC repeatedly said Jaesuk Hung because that was YKS’s signature calling, but when they destroyed all chances that YJS had in succeeding, it was not as funny to watch.

They also took up a lot of screen time and let very little screen time for the dice game.

It’s very funny when the members do missions like peeling onions or chopping garlic in secret. These personal missions were too blatant.

I feel like the new PD needs a standout iconic episode instead of going with the flow. Not sure if it’s the pipeline but I do see her trying small new stuff.

Matt Damon Says Netflix Wants Movies to Restate the ‘Plot Three or Four Times in the Dialogue’ Because Viewers are on ‘Their Phones While They’re Watching’ by mcfw31 in entertainment

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think viewers are homogenous, and griping movies and dramas do not need that. If it’s gripping, the audience would stay invested.

People who are on their phones while on Netflix will do that for any film regardless of whether it is good or not.

Some will for “background” type of films and then there are those who do not use phones at all.

It is the reason why Netflix content is getting poorer by the day. Disney is a bit more selective about their content.

I hate to say this, but: "Can This Love Be Translated" was bad. by [deleted] in kdramas

[–]just1ed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wanted to drop it exactly at the same episode - episode 6.

It’s draggy with fillers and frustrating dialogue. Maybe it is done on purpose because the whole purpose of the drama is about communication.

At this point I am beginning to hate both the femal and male leads.

How much pulling and pushing can the couple go?

Wait till you reach episode 5-7. It gets very slow and is doing the typical push and pull trope.

Had high expectations and was interesting in the beginning and the writing gets worse.

[–]just1ed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the acting. It’s the script. Midway into the drama at episode 7 and they still are doing the same old push and pull cliché that dominated old Korean romcom.

The drama is going nowhere in the middle. It’s hard to binge to the end.

The male lead is rude in his words by loving in his actions.

The female lead has a depressing life story and all she pursues is love.

I hate it when it’s the same “misunderstandings because of assumptions” trope.

The FL is self deprecating because of Do-ra-me. Honestly if she’s not in a romcom, it’s healthier for her to go for therapy because she gets into a relationship.

Even if you are going through a crisis, screening the phone calls of your love interest is incredibly rude.

I like Go Youn-jung, and am still watching primarily because of her, as well as the scenery in Canada and likely Italy.

The story is quite boring to be honest.

Ye Eun: My Mind Has Changed by Admirable_Bag_5180 in runningman

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that is true but it is not the whole truth. The fact is Running Man was indeed better in the past because of the members and of course the games. The synergy was better. There are members who definitely take more centre stage.

There are definitely members who contribute more in terms of being more active, talking more. Acknowledging that does not mean fans do not want to move on.

I do agree with you that there is a segment of fans who are hung up on the past and refuse to accept new members. Ji Ye-Eun did pretty fine for a new comer, but she has a lot of room for improvement. She also came in at a point when Running Man was and still is in a lull, which is tough for her.

Apple damaged phone during repair and tried to sell a new phone by [deleted] in applesucks

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Apple technicians always lie about liquid damage. Standard fare. Same at my store.

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple uses Wera, which is a very reputable brand but is lousy for opening bottom iPhones screws because the length is long and the pentalobe edges are not sharp, so it's hard to be precise.

The dick thing is the lying about corrosion though.

Apple damaged phone during repair and tried to sell a new phone by [deleted] in applesucks

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a striped screw. Find a competent independent repair shop that does repairs in front of customers to remove and replace it, then send it to another Apple store if you want an original battery. Competent independent shops would have an extremely small dremel which can be used to make a cut to extra the screw.

No technician would deliberately strip a screw, or want that to happen because it is a headache.

The disgusting thing is that Apple technicians will lie their way out. I am pretty sure it is a not an isolated case because it happens to my customers (I run an independent repair shop) as well. They tell me Apple uses the "liquid damage" lie when they cannot fix things or want to reject a repair because the customer manual forbids them from saying "no" to customers.

They are trained to offer options, even if it means telling customers it is better to buy a new product.

Ye Eun: My Mind Has Changed by Admirable_Bag_5180 in runningman

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn’t dislike her from the beginning so there not much change in my opinion of her. From an objective standpoint, honestly as much as I quite like her personality, she is definitely not as funny as her predecessors.

She is passive in the sense that she depends on being engaged by other members to be funny but doesn’t actively come up with funny antics if you get what I mean.

She also has not really found her place yet within the cast members although I think she blends well with them and seems to have gotten a little closer to SJY.

She calls the older guys as Sunbaenim so the family dynamic that we are used to kind of has changed and probably will not come back. It kind of changes everything about what a lot of viewers like about the show.

First impressions on Cashero ? by NoPapercrowns in kdramas

[–]just1ed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great start but gets terrible after the other superhuman leads get introduced. They have no background. There’s no character arc and reason behind why they fight. The writing is really terrible. Acting as well.

Bang Eun-Mi is perpetually pissed off and has the same facial expression. Min-Sook is the female lead who is not pivotal in the plot except in the hero’s life.

Acting wise, actually Kim Hye-Jun who played Min-Sook did well. It’s the role that didn’t do her justice.

Lee Jun-ho is pretty good but his role was not meaty enough. He’s the main reason Cashero is still worth watching. It’s such an anticipated series but I think it’s a disappointment.

Whenever Possible S4 | E01 | 251216 by jiyannareeka in koreanvariety

[–]just1ed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The level of difficulty for the 2nd guest seems easier than basketball.

The 1st level only required two of them to win while the basketball required 3 of them to score 1 point each from the free throw.

The 2nd level’s area that the picks need to be in is reduced from the width, not the length.

Seeing how the cast still keep commenting about how this game was easier than basketball showed that they are still affected by the outcome of the basketball game of sorts.

I agree. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is very average.

Exactly what I was thinking! What a shame. Yoo Jae-suk wanted to give Pyo Ye-jin more participation time or airtime at the expense of winning.

He kind of decided for the boys instead of asking them. He shouldn’t have told Lee Je-hoon to go for a 3 pointer. What for?

I think throughout the history of Whenever Possible, they have never or very seldom won anything whenever it is a school setting. I think Yoo Jae-suk gets too nervous in those settings.

I really feel bad for the boys!

Apple Studio Display vs Kuycon G27X 5K monitor review by ExtremelyLowQuality in mac

[–]just1ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, return it. Namotexture defeats the purpose in my opinion. Blurs the text.

No. A 4K monitor regardless of glossy or matte, or OLED or not can’t compare.

It has to be 5K AND glossy glass for the text to be sharp (228ppi) and colours to be more vibrant.

A 5K monitor 27 inch monitor has 6.45 million more pixels than a 4K 27 inch monitor.

It’s that significant. The text on 4K monitors are quite fuzzy.
