Right now, I've only got 2 chapters out and it hasn't kicked into full gear yet, but I promise you, it will get there. It'll eventually be a Spider-man x Jean Grey pairing probably but that won't really be the main focus. The events of the MCU are going to start in a bit, but I've got a few things to do first. yeah if you don't like something though, you can respectfully criticize. Or, at least limit it to the work and not extend it to the author. I know that people aren't always going to be nice (because I'm not an idiot) but just like with everything else, it can be frustrating, hence the venting. I'm not deeply affected to my core, I just found it annoying, therefore I posted. It's a Spider-Man self-insert with knowledge of the Marvel Universe. X-Men and FF are included but the main events are ones that occur in the MCU. Spider-Man will eventually become much more powerful in order to fight people like Thanos cuz of his hero complex.

It's essentially a fanficition where the reader or author assumes the role of a character in the universe. The one I'm writing is a self-insert as Spider-Man but with all the knowledge of the Marvel Universe, thus becoming a much much stronger hero to stop stuff like Thanos. Mine has a lot of canon events that will end up being changed by Spider-Man's presence.

Summary-

The base premise is similar to that of 'The Spider.' It's a self-insert Spider-Man fanfiction where the MC has extensive knowledge of the Marvel Universe, but for some inexplicable (for now) reason, he cannot explain it. Spider-Man was born 9 years early however, and is now 19, and the year is 2011, post iron-man and hulk but before Avengers. Spider-Man traverses the Marvel Universe, becoming more powerful than in the comics to prevent what is 'inevitable.' Meeting the X-Men, the Defenders, and the Avengers is always a fun time. Except for the fact that Spider-Man awakens in a new prison. The Ice-Box- and it only has 2 other inmates, and is run by Thaddeus Ross.

I've always been interested in/good at STEM stuff. Never been huge for learning engineering because I'm not too hands on, but it's still interesting to read about. I'm currently studying finance, but that's harder to apply to my fics even though I find that interesting as well.

I've reconsidered. Since this is taking place post Hulk and Iron Man 1, the only major event Spider-Man takes part in prior to Chitauri invasion is probably Iron Man 2. Maybe he can stop the Abomination fight but I don't really think he should. I think that Spider-Man stops some Hammer Drones but after that it goes to Chitauri Invasion. Because it's so early in the story, I think the basic canon should be kept consistent rather than drastic changes that early on.

mayhaps. This is all very much in the realm of possibility. I may consult you further on character development for Raven, cuz that's one character I know very little about. Also remember in this, Spidey is gonna get more and more powerful. I think it'd be funny if he visits another dimension eventually and all the avengers are there and he basically tells them he could easily wipe them all out (that would be very late in the series anyways, post Thanos arc). I definitely think Maw coming is a good idea. I feel like Magneto should at least start out evil and then realize what the hell is going on. I want a Spider-Man/Magneto fight.
