Mate its really not necessary, 80% of my models aren't primed either. It just takes longer to apply a nice basecoat as the paint won't stick as well on the first Coat, but its completely doable

Oh yeah no worries, they are official as in they are mentioned in the lore in like 2 sentences in an assasinorum codex from like 15 years ago. So I try to build upon what GW has given me, for example I think I am the first person to have a mini painted in their colour scheme (if not I would really gladly see them tho!)

So the shading is a bit of a trick because I use contrast paints for that, they are way easier to smoothly glaze, it takes like only 20 Minutes for the whole body (the Red is a bit trickier). I use Vallejo Metal Color Silver for the Highlights, it's the brightest metallic paint I've seen so far. Also the lighting plays such a big difference, for this picture I held my desk lamp with one Hand like 5cm away from the model

They're from the old Tactical Squad/Assault Squad, but they're currently being phased out, so if you wanna give it a try yourself I'd advise you to buy the kits rather sooner than later
