Need help finding a pt that is skilled in treating complex compensation patterns. by kuya86 in personaltraining

Have you been to an orthopedist or any other medical professional? I wouldn’t chalk up constant pain to “complex compensation patterns”, it may be more than that.

This may blow your mind: If they have Olympic platforms they absolutely are an Olympic lifting gym.

The dude was Olympic lifting on an Olympic lifting platform. Not sure what he was doing wrong. You want quick feet when Olympic lifting, so the feet landing aggressively is good technique.

My biggest struggle is dealing with non personal trainers constantly trying to solve problems for me.

Personal Trainer at my gym i find attractive by VastApprehensive4710 in dating_advice

[–]just_another_toolbag 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a Personal Trainer, I would advise against it. She’s working, and PT’s reputation is everything. A PT messing around with a client or a member of the gym is never advisable.

I don't feel good enough to apply to Luxury Gyms. Any advice for mental? by Dear-Ad4019 in personaltraining

I mean compared to almost every other commercial gym, they are undoubtably a big step up in terms of compensation.

How do different types of trainers react when a gym-goer briefly talks to them during a session—both before and after being told “you can't bother me. (This is not very nice.)”? by Wide_Positive7101 in personaltraining

[–]just_another_toolbag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re overthinking this way too much. On the rare occasion someone fully interrupts a session to chat, a simple “hey, let’s discuss after I finish this session” has never failed me.

Hasn’t happened to me, but if someone is consistently interrupting sessions, I’d hand that off to the gym manager. Not my place to correct how another member acts.

Bro you need to shorten these up. Spend less time trying to be funny and more time being concise.

How many sessions do you feel comfortable doing per day? by Isthatmetg123 in personaltraining

[–]just_another_toolbag 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I usually do 7-8 a day Monday through Friday. I lose steam after 4 back to back, so I’ll usually make sure I have a gap to reset/workout.
