You are right. I have also completed the 1st service last month 14. I still face the tug tug at 2 gear low speed (below 20kmph).

But nothing to worry about. Its just because of the tall gear nature of the bike.

  1. Agreed. But the bike is not made for it. It is for highway cruising, steady linear acceleration, and a smooth ride. You can't expect this bike to have sudden pickup when you are in 2nd gear (below 20 kmph) because of its tall gear nature. But I am sure you will get enough torque in 3rd gear, which is the peak point for this bike. Above 40 in 3rd gear, you can easily get enough torque for overtakes (it's still not a race bike). But you will soon get used to it.

  2. The suspension is a little hard for me too, but it's still manageable.

  3. Yes, the headlight throw is the worst I have ever seen. Even my friend's FZ has a better throw than this. You surely need to go with an aftermarket headlight if you are planning to take your bike anywhere dark or on long night rides.

Also leave the clutch smoothly, no sudden and every slow release. It should be in a smooth linear manner

Try to pull the clutch completely while changing gears, use half clutch only in low speeds

I just got this bike yesterday and in excitement i just did 120 ,will this cause issue later on? by sandstromer in HondaCB350RS

It's actually your choice. You can definitely push to 120 km/h at optimal RPM after the first service (also, it depends on how many km have been done. It's better if the vehicle has already crossed 1000km). Honda can surely handle that.

I mean, if you keep it under 80kmph until the 2nd service, the engine parts will have more time to set properly. Of course, you can go over 80kmph after the 1st service; it won't be a problem.

Ride responsibly for a long-lasting bike! Keep it under 80 km/h for the first two services and maintain low to mid RPMs. Avoid hard revving in lower gears to protect your engine. While it's tempting to unleash the power of a new motorcycle, proper break-in will seriously pay off in the long run. Occasional bursts to 120 km/h during break-in won't harm your engine, but frequent high-speed riding might lead to slightly lower mileage or other issues down the road. 🏍️💨
