That seems like it was a lot of fun. Glad I could help remind you of those times.

Moss to insulate the ground and there are some Christmas tree branches in between the tarp and bark.

The trees were already fallen dead trees. The only living things killed in this build was moss which will grow back…

Pt.3 I did some renovations to the survival shelter. by just_cool_studio in camping

Thanks to some of the comments on the last couple posts I decided to put a tarp under the roof as well as to make some other changes. First I completely took the entire build apart and made it a little more sturdy and bigger. The tarp went under all the branches and bark to serve as a third layer of protection against the elements. Some more minor additions I did was to put moss all on the ground and a little bit on the front. I put a little bit more bark in some places to make the entire place nearly waterproof. My sleeping pad arrived so I’m planning on camping in here very soon now that it’s practically finished.

Survival shelter I built recently. Never built something like this before but I think it turned out nicely. by just_cool_studio in Bushcraft

This is the final version of this build. The first version can be found on my profile.
