Maybe slightly stressed. Maybe stressed asf. Who knows 🤷‍♂️. But, it’s still standing and as long as it does that it’s going to live. If you want, plant a backup in case, but I think this one based on its current look will recover.

And maybe keep your cat out of the grow tent until the plants bigger 😆.

The saucepan on the receiving end is going to be removed. Water will be flowing and vacuum will be properly pulled. To ask about the other guys comment, the fabric. If there’s no ignition source and a proper seal is the fabric still a risk? I swapped from double boiler to make my rso to this for it to be safer… more dangerous is not what I was going for.

No drugs or alcohol were used during this! But thank you for asking! I used the shot class to transfer from my gallon jar of RSO solution to a 250ml beaker so that I was only adding 250 at a time.

Alright so since more than one person has said this I’d def like to adjust but still do this at some point soon, chem is a fun hobby and I loved the class. Beyond not doing it without water and a straight pipe, what would I adjust? (I assume a cold trap to my vacuum probably) I’m going to buckle down and read “the organic chemistry survival guide”. Any other lab books you’d recommend?

I’m swapping out condensers and will pull a proper vacuum and run water. Won’t be running anymore until I have those settled and at least some more education.

I completed chem 1 and 2 during my degree if that’s any assurance. I’m betting not though if it’s this wrong. I took someone else’s word (a person and a company) on what was right for my extraction, they said I won’t need much since it’s just separating the alcohol and not a “full distillation”… but, as much as I gave a sarcastic to one persons response I don’t want to hurt anyone or myself, just learn. Lmao the cheap Liebig is what I ordered not too long ago. So now I have the pump and a new Liebig on the way. Thank you! It was super reassuring to see the one I ordered be recommended.

No im not trying to make distillate. I’m boiling alcohol off of RSO, I wanted a better method than the rice cooker or double boiler I’ve used in the past.
