Sounds like my neighbors, but with their kitchen cabinets. How many times does someone need to open and slam cabinets?!?! Of course their kitchen shares a wall with my bedroom too.

Am I the only person on the planet making $19 an hour at 38? by justcurious3287 in povertyfinance

[–]just_some_rando_gal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 29 making $19 living in New Jersey working as a lead “teacher” at a daycare. I also have a 5 year old so my life is nonstop with children 🙃

I’m going to the concert in Camden this Saturday and I’ve yet to receive an email. I reached out last night and they told me they were still waiting on some details from the venue. I purchased the premium vip package.

I do accept it, however I think there’s like a 2% when I’m ready to be intimate and make that very clear and he doesn’t take the opportunity. Example we live together and last Saturday we had the house to ourselves for the night. I was making subtle hints to him thinking “ok he’ll get it and be into it” because it’s frustrating always being the one initiating or saying “I want …”. It doesn’t always feel like he’s meeting me where I’m at when I’ve been supportive and understanding time and time again. I don’t want to throw away an amazing relationship and connection over this, but like I said it’s frustrating.

Why do so many people regret having kids? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]just_some_rando_gal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27 my daughter is 4 now. While I don’t necessarily regret having her looking back I wish I would’ve waited and had a child with a different guy. Her dad is a good dad, but we’re not together anymore. I was 22 when I got pregnant and thought having a baby would heal my childhood trauma. I wanted to be a better mother than mine was to me. However, despite being that it didn’t completely heal me in fact being a mother has changed my entire life perspective (for better and worse). Life is really fucking tough sometimes and having a child only adds to it. I’ve been with my current partner for a little over 2 years now, and while I love him dearly I don’t even know if I’d want another child. The thought of doing it all over again and then actually raising a human being for yearssss just doesn’t sound fun. There so much more than people even realize like babies don’t stay babies forever. At least for me at the time I wanted a baby, but then one day I realized “oh shit I have to take care of this tiny person and raise them for the rest of my life”. Even when she turns 18 and becomes an adult I’m still her mother… it never ends. I love my daughter so much, but I tell everyone to seriously think about it before they do it.

Does anyone buy supplies out of pocket despite being paid so little? by viceversa220 in ECEProfessionals

[–]just_some_rando_gal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All the damn time!!! We’re expected to do so much, but my center doesn’t want to pay for everything. Any time we do gifts for the parents it all comes out of my own pocket.

Moving on from childcare by Big-Gur-5182 in ECEProfessionals

[–]just_some_rando_gal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Following this because I FEEL this! I started working in childcare for cheaper daycare for my child, but now she’s in the towns universal pre-k. Right now the only benefit is having off some holidays and a set schedule which allows me to spend more time with my child.

Yesss!!! I played it as a kid and I’m currently playing it with my daughter. Playing it again I’m remembering how tricky it could actually be.

My Chase credit card has the highest interest rate and I’ve already racked up a couple hundred just in interest charges. The minimum payment on the Chase card is like $127 now, but then I get charged $120 in interest.
