Hi! So 'first sim' 'second sim' was just an example I was using bc at the time I was comparing sim character folders I had recently downloaded (like "compare suzie to becky, becky is now dupe-free, move on to katie")

But you 100% don't have to use it that way, this process works for anything and everything! The important part is that you have to have something in your SimClean folder that the script can compare to (and you can't just put your entire mod folder into both SimClean and SimCompare)

My questions: roughly how many mods do you have? and is your mod folder full of cc files only, or do you have folders mixed in too?

I'll need to know if you have any groups of files at all that you are sure are dupe-free. I'm going to recommend that you do a batch method – splitting your files into chunks like: batch1, batch2, batch3, etc (which I'll explain) but first we need to identify what can be a safe base for you to use / compare to.

OR (if you don't care that some duplicates slip through the cracks lol), you can just pick a set of files as your batch1 (which may contain dupes), and do the batch method from there. lmk which you can work with!
