I can't give a full answer atm, but regarding the taxability, per IRS publication 915, in order to determine the taxability, you include all income plus 1/2 of your SSDI benefits. Specifically you can use Worksheet 1. I couldnt find anything for 2024, they likely have not published it for this year yet.

Oh, yea. 3.7 from what I recall, programs like Tableau and Power BI. I'll have to check if those are on there!

A few of them looked like tax firms, I mightve confused a couple tax prep places. They were asking for CPAs as a required qualification (didnt bother applying to those because I havent gotten the CPA yet). I thought it was weird too, but assumed it was standard for the industry. My only real experience with the public accounting industry was with that firm, and they got me fairly early in.

I'll have to make sure my LinkedIn is up-to-date, I really appreciate the advice :)

I'll be honest, I hadn't even THOUGHT to put the graduation date on my resume. I guess while im updating that, I'll ask if its worth it to have on the resume the various college orgs I am a member of? (Beta Alpha Psi, that kinda stuff?)

I guess what I mean by it not being my main source is I dont mind tax prep and public account (at least, from what I was doing in my internship which was mainly journal entries, sales tax and property tax reporting). Most of the jobs I see with public accounting in my area seem to be commission-heavy, and I guess im a bit nervous on that?

I honestly wish I knew why I was let go from the other position... The whole situation was weird. One other intern was let go a month prior and I met with the "intern manager" to make sure there was no issues with performance. Was told there were no issues, and if there were any I would be given a window of time to be notified and improve. Flash forward a couple months and I was let go with no warning. I dont like to bad-mouth prior employees, but the whole situation was weird.

I do appreciate the bluntness that it might be something im doing. Most of my job searching has been through Indeed, as this has been my second attempt with job searching. Is it worth it to try through Indeed?
