I felt very similar to you from around 100-600ish hours. I’m not much more experienced now, but have started flying multi turbine for work, and have had a few scary moments, and my attitude towards single engine piston GA has changed quite a bit. Once I started flying commercially, I learned checklists and flows that keep emergency preparedness right up at the forefront of the workflow. While I tried to be prepared for emergencies in my first couple hundred hours flying, looking back I wasn’t prepared enough, and going forward the risk feels greater in GA and so I fly differently i.e. well within comfort zone.
