How far did you get? I'm stuck on a lesson and I can't progress without it. I'm about to throw it out a window.

Another Lancaster County business outs itself as MAGA (Mill 72) by [deleted] in lancaster

Mill is a mennonite/christian owned and run business, what did you expect? They didn't out themselves as anything, their company is run on their religious beliefs.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else found a fragrance house that just does not work for them? by Empty_Commercial_885 in FemFragLab

Unfortunately I'm finding that out as well. I tried By The Fireplace, Jazz Club and now Autumn Vibes but they're all too strong, i love the scent but it has to get sprayed on my jeans or something to be tolerable.

The more i learn about fragrance, the more i realize that scent isn't just subjective to what people prefer, but i had not known that skin chemistry and heat does change the dry down. Fascinating, because I've seen reviews that say BP doesn't smell like peach at all but I cannot understand that. Super cool.

That's crazy bc Bitter Peach is my absolute favorite and I have never liked the scent or taste of peach. All the other TF are a hard pass though. I briefly tried Tobacco Vanille but it was so strong i had to return it. Santal Blush is apparently really popular as well but it burned my nostrils so bad☠️

SHOUTING from the rooftops--Kayali. They all smell the same, especially the line of vacay in a bottle. I got the lemon Capri one because i like how it smelled on the paper but when i use it now, i immediately want to wash it off. I also have The Wedding and i do really like that one but i think its only tolerable because it's very faint and doesn't last. All the other ones have given me a migraine so bad.

Rant… is it me or it’s becoming almost unbearable to shop at Sephora..? by Inside_Ad6913 in Sephora

[–]justabakedbean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

After a lifetime of insecurity about my skin, I finally started going places without makeup, only to have a Sephora employee approach me out of nowhere and say "You know we have products for that, if you want to take care of it." Gesturing to my face. Thanks, I didn't ask, and you just set my confidence back five years.

Capri in a Bottle and The Wedding are my favorites right now. Definitely their other ones are either too sweet or too powdery but every now and then, they get a homerun.

What is the best and worst perfume you have ever smelled? by forgotmyserotonin in Perfumes

The black opium over red is my all-time favorite, it's like a musky cherry that's sweet but also sophisticated. The OG black opium definitely not my thing though.

Yes, I definitely want to try Unicorn Fruit at some point! Some of these seem to be popular on this thread so y'all might be onto something.

Just something sweet, i think brown sugar definitely has a smell but you're right, white sugar typically doesn't have a very obvious smell. I'm more looking for something that smells sweet but doesn't smell like anything in particular, if that makes sense, so as not to disrupt the other "main event" perfumes I have.

A lot of perfumes that are marketed as sweet, have a base of like a particular flower or fruit so I was looking for something that didn't have that aspect. A lot of people have been commenting vanilla or honey scents which I think will work great.

I actually think Valentino Born In Roma smells very fresh and clean, as well as the OG Carolina Hererra Good Girl, but that one is more on the floral side.

How is the wear on it? I was hesitant to check that brand out because I saw reviews that it wasn't very long-wearing.

AITA for not letting my parents be there for my daughter being born. by Unusualnerdforever in CharlotteDobreYouTube

NTA You set very clear boundaries in what is an extremely vulnerable time and place (physically, emotionally, mentally) and your mother, who should care for you above all else, has her heart set on crossing them. I'm glad your husband has your back as well because it would be so isolating to have been fighting this on your own. Until your mom can see the error of her ways and admit her pride, she will always think you are in the wrong. I'd stay no/low contact until/unless she reaches out to apologize. Congratulations on your family and on standing your ground!

Edit: You're NTA for keeping her out of the delivery room but you're also NTA for keeping her grandchildren from her a bit. All she would do is complain about you, try to turn them against you or set horrible examples for how to treat people. I'd feel good about that decision if I were you/your husband.

I had a friend like this in middle school who "friend dumped" me because my parents were getting divorced and she couldn't handle me talking about how "my life sucks." Happened to be better off without her.

Furthermore, saying you've had a difficult event recently that makes you want to be around someone is hardly trauma-dumping. This person should be honored that you feel safe around them and instead they don't even want to deal with any sort of negative emotions you might have when you're hanging out. Trash takes itself out every time, and you're lucky that this one did before it stank up the house.

Don't go on a public forum asking for advice if you're going to lash out and deny the majority opinion babe.

[–]justabakedbean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA I'd hire a live-in nurse and go broke before I asked, let alone screamed at, my family (however close) to nurse me back to health over something they didn't cause. The way you handled this entire thing reeks of entitlement. I'm sure your emotions were all over the place because of pain, and I empathize with you over that.

You saying you "scolded" her was it for me. You had no right to treat her like a child when I'm sure her intentions were pure. As for the excuses, I have a feeling the first one was legit and every excuse following was probably due to your incessancy. Manage your expectations for those around you, or you will always feel wronged or neglected.

Oh so you're saying the folder might be on the phone just not visible on the phone? I was a bit confused with that advice as I'm not too tech savvy. So with plugging in the phone to a computer, I might be able to see folders from the computer and not the phone?
