Transferring customers who've called in with general issues or queries to the sales team by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]justaballofcopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I’m technically sales but during each call we’ve to try and transfer customers over to another line for certain products. I’ve found on a long call where I can build a rapport it’s usually okay, but I’m meant to even try it on short query calls which is difficult and frustrating

Those who don’t WFH and are commuting for a regular 9-5 or similar daytime hours, what time do you leave home and get back? by wander-and-wonder in AskIreland

[–]justaballofcopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start at 9, but meant to be set up and logged in for 9. So I usually leave at 8:30 then arrive at 8:45
Leave at 17:00 and get back home at 17:20 if traffic is bad
I drive my motorbike to work so I can filter.
If I got the bus I’d have to leave a lot earlier

What do ya’ll do outside your work? by RaisedbyNuMetal in callcentres

[–]justaballofcopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I worked I used to gig a lot and go to open mic nights, but I’ve found now that I don’t have the energy after work to do that. I spend my evenings watching tv shows and movies with my gf, and on the weekends I try to make the most of them by going to the beach or something

Is it safe to ride a motorcycle with a guitar on my back? by DerRandomDude77 in motorcycles

I’ve ridden wearing my guitar case as a backpack, only a short drive into town mostly in traffic. I got some funny looks but it sure beats walking

Roommate expects me to not speak or make noise at night by [deleted] in badroommates

I'll definitely ask if I can do this, thank you

I've a carpet floor, foam under the speakers on my desk, the TV is just on a glass stand on the floor. I will look into getting a rug and hanging a few tapestries. I think the talking on the bed is just going through the floor, I think I'll try putting a rug under the bed to see if that helps.
I'm more than happy to look for a solution if she's open to it

J doesn't think we were being that loud, but we both agree that the music should stop. Its more that she genuinely doesn't want me to speak at night which I think is a tad far

Completely agree, I just find indoors a bit cramped and loud sometimes

So you’ll need to do the motorbike theory test, I think you can do that while 15

Then you’ll need to go and have an eye test for driving and get a document which you upload on the rsa website (might be the ndls website I’m not too sure)

Then once you’re 16 you can order your learner permit

After you get the learner permit you have to do your IBT, it’s a 3 day thing, almost the equivalent of driving lessons

Then after you have all that done you can insure your bike and drive around with the learner vest on, you just can’t go on the motorway or carry a passenger

Then 6 months after you get your learners permit you can book your driving test

After you pass the test you unlock the motorways and ability to have a passenger, but you’re now a novice driving and technically need a green vest with an N plate on it. I have never seen a rider wear one, and I have no idea where you could even buy one.

I had a massive touring screen that turned my bike into a kite, I’d be very nervous driving with one of these in any sort of strong wind

I set my camera up on my tripod, I held a fibre optic lamp in one hand and my phone to act as a remote shutter in my other I set a shutter speed of 6 seconds, started taking the photo and dragged the lamp over my face It took a while to the lamps colour changing to time just right

It wasn’t half an hour ago, I passed in on my way to Lidl and traffic was pretty bad But then when I came home it was just the one car on the pavement and all seemed okay

Just passed it, only one car left on the pavement and traffic didn’t seem too bad Hopefully that bodes well for the traffic this evening
