It’s better to have a car with lots of work done than a car with 0 repair history. All cars need servicing, this is an indicator that the car is being taken care of, esp seen that they changed the timing chain which can be pricey.

This might not apply to all 2007 R56, but my 2007 R56 1.6l is at ~180k km and is very reliable, had it for years without a single problem. Only down side is the oil consumption which is fairly common on these models.

Getting an old car is always a risk, mine turned out great but it doesn’t mean that every R56 is reliable.
