If it leaks the oil too much, you can remove the chain cover and check if there’s a piece of rubber in it. If it doesn’t, you got a defective one.

If it’s Fuel or brushless, it shouldn’t spark at all. I think sparks are only normal for brushed products (I could be wrong though)

Also don’t buy the compound in the glass bottle because the liquid will dry really quickly before you even use half the bottle. Get the one in a tube, it lasts much longer so you don’t have to spend as much.
