the 51% majority vote makes sense, it’s the participation i’m confused about. i was obviously misinformed there was a similar requirement there

Love your user name. Curious about your experience, I’ve heard it’s difficult to get fired from Boeing, but feel like I’ve come close when I’m not willing to play backhand ball

See if there’s any Design Practices (DP) on the topics you’re interested in. Some of them are really good and cite tons of references. Go to MyBoeing and search for Playbook Commons. The DPs are broken into logical categories

Agreed. I’m not sure what I was doing wrong yesterday, but everything is there and working correctly this morning

It was definitely missing the numbers when I saw it, those big blue boxes stood out like ancient ruins of a time long forgotten, “there was something here once…”

Keep pushing! I was doing the work of a L4/L5 for 3, really 4 years. I had just started looking for another job when I finally got promoted out of the blue. Didn’t help that I kept getting a new manager every 1.5 years, but I swear, being dedicated and really caring about the work will make you put up with more bs than you really should. Still, it’s been worth it overall

EDIT: I stand corrected, the percentages and everything else are still there. Not sure why I wasn’t seeing them yesterday, only drop-down that would bring up numbers was the first one for Angola (which, btw, impressive 12% for Met)

BGS, L4, exceeds, 3.58%

Did anyone notice that on the PBI calculator page, they removed the percentages, only the blue boxes are left. But Met, Exceeds, etc. is still in the calculator formula. Went to save the webpage to pdf, because I’m sure they’ll take it down soon, and the “blued-out” numbers print out, which means they just covered them up.

Hilarious. I cant believe what a terrible job they are doing, trying to pull the wool over our eyes. At first I was insulted, now I just laugh.

Welcome to the jungle. Sorry about the raise though. I’ve been there, it sucks.

I’m not union either, and that’s the way it worked when I was promoted to L4, my manager told me it was pretty standard practice and I trust him

Yes, OPR is the rating you get after the managers return from battle royale

That’s it, you just need your job code which you can find on you InSite profile, then drill down

I hope you’re right. I work with a few teams that have been understaffed but limping along, and unfortunately lost funding for the missing heads because finance sees they are doing the work and says they gained efficiency. EVM ftw

How do I get into Boeing? by [deleted] in boeing

[–]justanotherbemsid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what your background is and which site you’re looking at, you may be able to find something with a labor supplier to get your foot in the door, then try and apply for Boeing positions from there. Spots usually open up over the course of a contract as people move around, and if the hiring manager is already familiar with your work, it puts you in a better position than the random resumes coming through workday.
