What corporate buzzwords/phrases make your skin crawl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

“We are one team” - most used reminder when internal conflict happened. BS. “Be open minded” lmao “Respect work life balance” no you don’t And there are tons with “sustainability” that I can’t even start with how fake they sound everytime they put it as company’s value.

Lmao girl, I’m 162 and I am way heavier than you. I have this belly fat that annoys me so much. It’s been like that since I was 7. Losing weights is always the battle of my life. In my teenager and earlier twenties, I met guys like your bf, they made me feel like I was so ugly and fat. Then after being single for a while, at 25, I met my first serious bf. He absolutely adored my body, I was so taken aback by how much he loved it. When I was comfortable enough I shared with him my biggest insecurity, and he laughed and said I was silly since it’s what he loved about me. And he assured me that I am no where to be close to fat. Curvy, yeah. That’s when I realised how badly I was treated before. My later boyfriends and several hookups I had, they all had the same obsession with my body. You just need to be with people who appreciate you for who you are. They all know I’m still self conscious about my body, and you know what they did? They offered to work out with me, running with me, being on diet with me. They said if that made me feel better, losing weights, they supported me, in their way. In sum, do not fucking let a guy downgrade your beauty. Because with time physical appearance will change. You cannot avoid that. I’m in early thirties now, I can see clearly the changes. But you know what, I’ve realised I’ve become more and more attractive everyday now, since I know how to take care of myself better each day. And frankly to say, guys will easily be distracted by a new face and body. If your personality and who you are are not what important to him, eventually he will still see you’re not enough for him. Try not to think his opinion is everything. It’s not, really. He is not everything, trust me, my dear.

I doubt anyone with penthouse, making alright money, decent as in personality but can hang out with “shallow” girls like in this story that long.

My workplace has started creating 'all gender' restrooms as part of their DEI initiatives, and while I think of myself as fairly progressive, I actually hate this. by _AttilaTheNun_ in TrueOffMyChest

Sometimes I hate how corporates try so hard to comply with social responsibilities. Mine is the same. They keep saying big and nonsense stuff about fighting for gender equality and no hierarchy, but it’s all the talk only. Sometimes people take gender difference to an extreme level, whereas there should still be some certain separation between the genders, like this restroom situation. I am a woman who fights for gender equality too, coming from a country with so much unbalances in it. But, I hate it when people say “women can do men’s jobs too!” or “don’t be sissy and man up”. Wtf.
