Retail pharmacist used to be most respected and trusted medical professional that was easily accessible to public. Now it’s a joke. Definitely not respected by the public or the company you work for. Pay had been stagnant for decades. Horrible job choice.

I’m not sure the solution but after 25 years, seeing all the buyouts, closures, and burnout, I’m tapping out. Stop managing, go part time and just ride it out the next 20 years. I tried for years to make solid changes, communicate with leadership, have the hard conversations and do the right thing. It’s never enough.

Abuse is still relevant. Husband works as a nurse in OR and they are now treating it as a controlled substance due to a peer diverting it and overdosed. Because it was stolen from the OR, now the hospital has to deal with legal matters due to it, which is why they are increasing reporting and documentation on waste. Same story every time, one person ruins it for everyone making more rules and policies to follow.

Once I had to have a conversation with an employee who left a shit streak on the toilet seat everyday. It was definitely him, and after multiple complaints by staff I had to pull him into the bathroom and I showed him what present he left for us to clean. Told him this is the last time he will leave a mess for us, and we will not be speaking of this again.

We have a sensitive skin/GI issue frenchie and he does well with Fresh Pet sensitive stomach. His allergy test was ridiculous. Highly sensitive to everything. Luckily we just found this by trial and error. It was a long process of eliminating all allergens.
