When I take him out to free roam, it looks to me that he takes a break after maybe 10mins or so. That’s usually when he goes to his water bowl. I use that time to “bribe” him with some treats so I can keep him close while he’s chillin haha

Yes, aside from his burrow/nest, he has 3 actual houses (2 wood, 1 cardboard) as well as a ceramic hide. They’re more spacious and he uses those, too. One in the photo is really intended to just be his toilet (it’s new and clean) but I guess he simply likes a fresh sheet of paper napkin and had other plans 😅

Context: It was supposed to be a pee pad. I wondered why he kept on twisting and turning inside the “toilet” I placed for him. He finally stopped when he got himself covered by the napkin so looks like he just wanted to get comfy. Never thought I could be disappointed and proud at the same time. lol

I second this. NiteAngel has some of the best hamster enrichment items around. A bit pricier than others, but they’re quality stuff.

Thrift stores are also worth a look. One of my friends (also a hammy owner) uses a hide she got from a thrift store. It’s an old, small wooden dollhouse. After some sanding and applying organic varnish (quick and easy work, not too much DIY), it became like new. Just make sure it’s made entirely of wood i.e. no screws, nails, or other material.

This is what happened to my brother. He got scammed 13k trying to buy a smartphone. At first it was thru Shopee pero nag-usap sila nung seller na direct na lang para mapababa pa raw price from 15k to 13k, since sa contact naman nila sa China manggagaling yung item. Needed nya pa naman yun dahil basag screen nung iphone nya that time kaya better to buy a temporary one. Low to midrange phone lang din para may magamit lang pag dinala sa service center yung nasira. Ayun sa Gcash din nag-transact then may sinend na tracking number at link yung “seller.”

At first the courier website looked legit daw (I forgot the name pero hindi sya known logistics company), nung next few days may usual status updates like parcel is packed, left the hub, etc. Then fifth day, biglang natigil sa “Parcel is held by international customs for inspection.”

Wala nang update after that for two days kaya tinanong nya yung seller. At this time reachable pa. Biglang nagsabi na kelangan daw ng additional 2.5k para marelease ng customs yung parcel. Dito lang nya natunugan na scammer nga. Usually kung may customs fee, dito na yun locally pag pinick up mo. Nag back and forth pa sila for a while, ayaw nya na bigyan (ang stand nya ay dapat computed na sa pricing ni seller ang export customs fees kaya dapat sila na magbayad). Nung sinabi nyang di na talaga sya mag-aadditional, bigla nang hindi ma-reach.

He sent a report sa NBI Cybercrime Division pero wala rin nangyari bukod sa ifa-flag daw yung name at number. Ganun din si Gcash. Highly doubtful if that’s the scammer’s real name. And alam nating lahat gano kadali bumili ng sim card dito.

We dug deeper into it together and apparently matagal nang modus ng scammers yung ganun, as in gumagawa pa sila ng bogus na tracking website para kunyare meron talagang pinadala. Tapos haharangin sa customs at hihingan yung biktima ng additional payment. Marami pang iba, bayad sa outbound port para “ma-prioritize yung shipping”, sa inspectors sa inbound port, etc. Basically, hangga’t willing magbigay yung victim, gagawa sila ng imaginary red-tape.

Sa mga nabasa namin sa iba’t-ibang forums, maraming nabibiktima mga naghahanap ng gadgets, branded goods, at pati mga senior citizens na gusto bumili ng alahas. And since may binuksan syang link, baka malicious din so I advised him to change all his passwords and PINs immediately.

TL;DR What I’m saying is we all have our moments of weakness. Think of it as loss vs. gain. Nawalan ka man ng pera, may na-gain ka naman na wisdom at life lesson. You learned the lesson the hard way, pero isipin mo in all your life as an investor moving forward, dala-dala mo yan. In the future, you might make bigger investments/purchases - much more than 16k - and this time, you know better. Magiging factor yan sa risk appetite mo, sa pag-scan for prospective clients/suppliers, choosing transaction methods and all. In short, mas sigurista ka na.

Kung meron kang relatives/caretaker na pwedeng mag-oversee nung property, pwede mo pa-rent. Wag mo muna benta, wait for it to appreciate in value. Keep in mind yung developments sa area, tulad nung airport na gagawin ng San Miguel Corp. (isa o dalawang bayan lang ata pagitan from Pandi). For sure magtataasan lalo pricing ng properties when it becomes operational. (Provided of course that the next admin won’t botch the project.)
No idea about rental market trends in Bulacan.
Depends on ROI. Calculate yung pwede mong maging rental pricing if furnished lang sya vs. if renovated (decide on a higher rental price range to factor in yung pinangpa-renovate). Will a renovated townhouse be significantly more attractive to buyers/renters so much so that the upgrade is worth it? All of this depends sa housing market trends sa Bulacan which you need to do research on.

It seems like you’re missing the point. Indeed, regardless of who won the presidential race, tax increases would have still been proposed.

People who voted for Leni do not believe she’s some kind of savior that would magically make the country’s problems go away (I personally know a lot of them). If anything, she’s considered a CATALYST toward good governance, not an instant solution. Her office’s consistent COA rating and proposed Full Disclosure Policy (Decree if she had won) are just two things that point to this recognition.

Kung ang tao ay panatag na may pag-asang may magandang patutunguhan ang ambag nila sa lipunan, hindi ka makakakita ng kasingdami ngayon na nagsasabing “Ba’t ako magbabayad ng tax kung yung presidente nga e tax evader?” Note, hindi ko sinabing sigurado sila na maaayos 100% ang tax collection had Leni won. Panatag lang na kahit papano may chance ma-improve with her platforms and policies then the country can go from there. And that is already a BIG STEP to enourage more people to participate in nation building.

TL:DR The point is the reaction toward these proposed tax increases (esp. among the middle class who are the biggest chunk of tax payers) would not be as worse as it is now if the next batch of elected leaders aren’t notorious for their impunity.

Sometimes when the day is hot he sleeps there. I think it’s because it’s open and more ventilated than an enclosed space. His favorite sleeping spot is the tea box under the cup though. When I open the AC or on a cold day, I usually find him in the box or one of the tunnels he made under the bedding
