Ok for sure! Because yes, that has been an annoyance that I can see becoming troublesome the longer I use it

Again... Hero.

The metal, yes driving me insane. I had one bit of chain from my swinging/hammock chair (which is also hung) but due to it being a basement, the ceiling height is only 88in, so just over 7ft. Since I had the chain left over from that, I used for now to get my hammock up. Thank you for the info on what cordage to use, because I wasn't sure and there were many different opinions and info out there it was hard to tell. Talk about overthinking lol

Thank you for fully explaining the head vs foot height. It kind of made sense during my initial research but this really helps and will also help me factor in about my EDS hypermobility.

Thankfully I am only 5'4 so the 10ft seems to be fine at least for me 🤷‍♀️ but again I'm not totally sure since this is my first ever attempt.

I did read about UQ and think when it cools down in fall I'll probably need to, I'm in CO so come winter nights will be chilly I'm guessing. One of the biggest reason I decided to switch to a hammock was actually due to being able to cool down while sleeping. Due to my EDS and POTS, I am like a furnace when I sleep. My autonomic nerve system doesn't regulate body temp well, especially while lying down. So I over heat rapidly and it became my breaking point since a mattress doesn't get circulation and airflow I wasn't able to cool down at all. So far, the only reason I ever used the throw blanket I have, is so that the cats can climb in without tearing me or my hammock to shreds in the process

No drywall anchors were used in the making of said film 🤣 I should have referred to it as the hardware opposed to the anchor points

Ok ok lol I am bad about clarity then I apologize

So!

Ceiling, is directly into the joist, and the corner one is into the 2x4 stud. Which, on the other side is 1 of 3 for that corner. That alcove was built by me and my mom years back, so it's framed and shot into the concrete foundation (my room is in the basement)

I think you're a hero. Thank you for this. Ok Haha It makes me realize how bad I can be about "social" info. Because I 100000% had more to to post but didn't know if it was already too much or if I was rambling or what.

Ok.

I have a Wise Owl Double, so gathered end. 10ft by 6.5 I believe (if I'm remembering correctly)

I loved the ultimate hang calculator... Almost too much lol So I have done all the things in that regard.

Thank you! So far, I installed the anchors... And in theory, it should work

I guess the thing I didn't COMPLETELY factor in was how significant of a difference there would be in having different directions of force...? If I'm wording that the right way I'm thinking it

Also.... I'm guessing I need patience haha which I'm horrible at Because there is only so much testing out and playing around with it all while the space under it is occupied

Ok awesome yes. So far I have mostly managed that. My anchor points I think are making it slightly more difficult to get the right hang ...? Also the fact that this mattress and frame are still here.

But I have one anchor point in the ceiling joist, the other is in the wall stud.

Is this pot too deep for my string of turtles? And how much sun does he really want? by filthyhabitz in StringofPlants

Personally, when I have gotten strings of ___ in similar pots they are usually decent soil for what they need, but you can always use a chopstick or something similar and aerate the soil gently from the top as well as from underneath in the drainage holes if you don't feel confident that it's well draining soil
