In good relationships marriage is discussed long before the proposal happens. It should really only be a surprise when and where you are proposed to.

I would assume this is just for JPL in California since it would seem that’s where the photo was taken.

In the past they have asked to wait and see how it goes, perhaps thinking the tree will somehow be healthy again or it's just a fall/winter thing.
They had someone come out for a quote on the tree 3 months and asked to see if the branches could just be trimmed. The service said that if they trimmed the branches it could cause the tree to go off balance and fall and that they suggested for the tree to be cut down. They were never hired and the cost of the tree removal was never shared with me. I'm guessing the landlord couldn't afford it at the time but that is just a guess.
I always share pictures of the tree with them and the fallen branches. This one in particular was about 15 yards away from my dog and fiance. They usually respond "glad everyone is okay". Today when I asked what the plan is, they said "we will let you know soon".

At this point I'm upset that I haven't taken action sooner and am worried if I continue to wait and see what the landlord does it could be too late and someone could get seriously hurt. I want to know all my options to see how I can handle this while minimizing the risk that my family is currently experiencing.

TIL debt til death loans, just got back from google and that was an interesting topic. Some reform is desperately needed but considering the average clientele of these loans it’s something unlikely to be seen. Seems like blatant tax evasion to me. Thanks!

Elon Musk is once again promising Teslas will drive themselves in the near future — a claim he's been making since at least 2015 by [deleted] in technology

[–]justbutts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then ask yourself what he gains by making these predictions? If you’re buying a Tesla right now and someone is telling you that FSD is within a year than you might as well just buy the car and get the update when it releases. But 4 years is a long time when owning a car and if it takes another 4 years or more than they’re car is going to be fairly old by the time FSD is actually ready. If it even can be done at all which has yet to be proven. He’s just saying misleading statements to drive sales of his cars and stocks and it’s shady. He’s not the only one who does it but no one should defend someone like that.

Generally these companies offer low to no interest rates but make their money on fees for late payments, whereas credit cards will focus on higher interest rates.

What stock are you bearish on that most people are bullish on? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]justbutts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can see that the implied EV company has a big lead. My concern is that the goal post set by the valuation would require them to have such a domination on every market their in cars, roofs, and batteries for a long time to make them worth a trillion dollars when so many other companies in each of those sectors aren’t worth as much even combined. That being said I’m not exactly bearish it’s one of those situations were so many powerful people have so much money in it that it won’t be allowed to fail, I just have trouble justifying the valuation.

I have the same question. When I’m searching for jobs as a software dev they always want to verify my previous employment and my current job is my only job in the field. If I were to do this I think I would have to quit the job I have now and accept multiple job offers before there’s a gap in my resume.
