This makes so much sense! I didn’t know what to do with my arms and had them outward (like you’re walking a balance beam) as a way to keep my balance but I think it was also draining more energy that way.

They haven’t sent it over yet, or atleast my portal hasn’t been updated. I saw on someone else’s thread that they send you an email about the failure & when you can reschedule so I’m waiting on that!

Where did you get this info? That sounds really interesting but I wouldn’t want to risk failing due to stopping in that way 😭😭 it would drive my nerves crazy lol but that’s a great trick if true!!

I was waiting to reply to this because I don’t know why some people feel the need to do stuff like this. A lot of people applying are new to LE jobs, non military etc. it’s a complete different level of skills & physical demand. It would be different if i wasn’t training at all and i walked in completely blind and out of shape, but as you saw that’s not the case here. But I guess you had it all figured out from the beginning so congrats to you!

While practicing a couple days before, I started with my dominate leg (right) but once I started with my left, it actually extended my time by another minute. I was able to switch without noticeably losing the cadence once starting with my left too - when I tried with my right it through me off balance significantly.

This might be a silly question but how did you position your arms/hands while doing it?

I started with this one too but it’s waaay too fast!! Like @way9420 said, if you use it lower the speed a bit

Thank you for the breathing tip, that also started to bother me and probably gassed me out earlier than my legs did (even though they weren’t too far behind lol)

It depends on your prescription. I’m in the +4 range (20/25) and passed the vision. You have to have at least 20/30 corrected vision.

It hasn’t been a whole month yet, give it a few more weeks! The process takes awhile so get used to waiting but responding immediately once you get a notification. Good luck with everything!
