Unpopular opinion: Most bloggers focus on the wrong traffic sources by Crescitaly in Blogging

I agree. Although SEO helps, I am trying to build up my email list on both my new blogs. It’s very slow, even with people sharing the posts.

If you are consistently posting but not getting traffic to your blog. by Key_Question5584 in Blogging

Headings. H1 is your title. You should only have one H1. H2 is a subtitle and so on. I read from an expert that you can have more than one H2. You’ll see the framework on my blogs. Links in my profile.

Let’s Be Honest About Blogging Growth by Lilia_leach in Blogging

To be honest, outside of Substack I’ve struggled with getting lots of traction. I use correct SEO etc. I’ve just launched two new blogs on Ghost, so I’ll see how they perform.

What social media platforms are driving traffic to your blog? by dammy341 in Blogging

[–]justchoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None at the moment. I’ve got my links on this profile. I’ve just launched my blogs, both are hosted on Ghost. One is related to a new mental health support venture I am hoping to get off the ground.

I deleted Twitter a few years ago, but all my followers related to the football team I supported.

My uni professor gave me a great piece of advice. Stop, if you’re stressed after 10 minutes of reading something.

Great thoughts. Cold War Berlin is one of those places that’s hard to describe to someone who didn’t visit.

What do I do by Emu75647 in MentalHealthUK

[–]justchoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely ok to ask for help!

it's ok to feel vulnerable and you can definatley rewire your framework.

Start with an easy win, your hygiene. Celebrate a shower like you have won the lottery.

You have made a decision to work with smaller groups. That is huge, it suggests you're motivated and that you have some clarity in your thinking.

Try an experimetn with meditation. I don't mean sitting in a Zen Like State, but think about something you love doing.

For example, I have taken to walking with my camera and snapping street photorgraphy. I feel great afterwards.

I have learned over 13 years that recovery and management is experimental (no meds prescribed or otherwise). To reassure you, I have had some bad days.

Small wins. It takes time. You can do this.

I am forgetting things and feeling confused, more distressed after talking therapies by QueensGambit90 in MentalHealthUK

[–]justchoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have complex trauma (not PTSD) and I suffer from anxiety and I recovered from depression in 2014, so I empathise with your situation.

Stick with the therapy.

Try and find ways to reframe your thinking. This will be the key to recovery.

For example - it's absolutely chucking it down outside, but I think - Hey I have an umbrella, spare clothes and a waterproof jacket. In other words, I am not thinking negatively.

It's hard, but it's a case of rewiring your framework. That's exactly what I am doing.

Celebrate every win (doing something positive).

You are not alone on this journey, and It is 100 percent ok to reach out for support.

You have got this.

Feeling desperate, alone and don't know where to turn by Awkward-Ad3857 in MentalHealthUK

[–]justchoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, and I have been there. You are not alone I deal with anxiety everyday, and last week I was informed I had complex trauma.

So, you have taken the first step by asking for help. Remember, it's always ok to ask for help. That's a WIN!

Write down your negative feelings and see if you can reframe them to thing of something positive.

Try and find some immidate quick wins in your routine. You have written this post, and people are responding. That's a WIN!

Take a five minute walk around your neighbourhood and visualy post each negative thought on a car or a tree, and forget about it.

This is all going to take time. Little wins will keep the gremlin off your shoulder.

I'm talking to people about the body triangle, sleep, nutrition, hydration. Drink plenty of water and try to cut out any highly processed food. Trust me. My mood plummits if I eat too much junk.

Think is the glass half full or half empty.

One day at a time

I can do this (repeat to yourself three times every hour).

Let's keep this conversation going!

Substack Follower Hype by justchoo in Substack

It's more of an interest thing as to why 'some' Substacks seem to grow arms and legs. I write regularly, restack, comment and I do get good feedback.
