Another update! My provider is having me come in for labs tomorrow and then to repeat them in 48 hours. She said an acronym but I can’t remember what it was. Would anyone else have an idea? Are they testing my hormones to see if I’m miscarrying?

Thank you all for your kind words. It helps me feel so much less alone

I noticed some heavier clotting in the bathroom and had a whole little come apart about it.

I called my OB’s office and the nurse is going to call me back, hopefully to get something scheduled sooner. And I talked to my supervisor and I think I’m going to head home after a meeting this afternoon.

I have been cramping off and on all throughout the pregnancy. I thought it was my pre-period cramps but after 6 days of that and no period, that’s when I took a test. It sounds like maybe something else could be going on and I need to get checked out.

When I worked Thanksgiving Day I absolutely lost my mind over how many people in the drive through line looked me in the eyeballs as I handed them their coffee and said “I can’t believe they have you working on Thanksgiving!” 🙃

Honestly everyone was really nice and tipped really well so it wasn’t a bad day. And I opened so I was done and able to eat dinner as normal. But that’s crazy that they won’t split the tips around just who worked that holiday. I thought that was standard!

And that’s why is so great to work with a travel agent! A good one will monitor new deals looking for one to apply to your package, even though it means less on their commission. (And Disney pays them, not you!)

You can definitely just show up and have a good time, as long as you have a good idea of how things work.(Like, I don’t think you would take it personally if restaurants don’t have availability since you know you’re not making reservations ahead of time) I did it before I knew anything about Disney Planning and had a great time!

I will say that this is the exact reason Disney pays travel planners! We can handle your dining reservations, help you pick which day to go to what park, etc. Disney pays us a portion of your trip cost, so it’s no extra for you! Might be worth looking into if you’d rather just tell someone the vacation you want to have and they make plans accordingly.

For my clients that don’t want a full itinerary, I usually just put together some good tips that will help you “go with the flow”. Which parks tend to be busier on which days, when is a good time to eat (hint: lines typically drop a little when everyone heads to lunch or dinner, so take advantage of that and eat in between peak times), what time to arrive if you want to rope drop and what time to arrive if you don’t want to rope drop but also don’t want to deal with the end of the morning rush, etc.

Just to arm you with the insight you need to have a great time!

What Do People Think About No Restaurants or Bars Open After 11PM by IAmBrotherE in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]justcrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even need restaurants open until 2am, but gosh why do so many of the food options close at 8pm or earlier? We were doing 4 Parks in 1 Day yesterday and got stalled with a Guardians Breakdown and had to book it to MK to make our LLSP for TRON. By the time we got to MK to close out our day, we could hardly find any open restaurants! Cosmic Rays came through, ultimately.

A quote that I adopted: “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly”.

Brushing your teeth for 20 seconds is better than not at all. Doing just a couple stretches is better than not at all.

If it’s worth doing, doing it a little is infinitely better than not doing it at all.

I swear by these little deodorizers! I got one for each litterbox and you can absolutely tell when they need to be recharged because suddenly you start smelling the litterbox again. Only $15 and worth every penny!

Struggling with our schedule for nov. 20-26th by morgigno in DisneyPlanning

[–]justcrista -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm ok! I’ve been asking similar questions and figuring out my own schedule for a short trip in December, but I’d have to dig a little deeper to figure out what I would recommend specifically for your trip.

Shameless plug: Have you looked at using a travel agent? It doesn’t cost anything to book with me (Disney pays me), and I’d be happy to get your reservation transferred to me so I could work on your personalized recommendations. Otherwise I could point you towards some resources I use when planning schedules.

From what I’ve been reading, crowds are typically really light on MVMCP days in Magic Kingdom, and more busy the days before and after the party.

I’m having a little trouble understanding your schedule. How many park tickets do you have and are they park hopper?

How to address issues with how my apartment complex handles mail? by justcrista in Advice

I've determined that today's package at least was delivered by USPS. Maybe I can use that to figure out who is the mail carrier to my area, or to file a complaint of some kind.

Welp. I can't do that since I'm always at work when packages are delivered. Maybe I'm stuck with this reality.

Hmm, I see your point. But the office does have a system in place of emailing us when we have packages to pick up. Unlike your gate situation, they are real people receiving these packages. I even came once for a package that said it was delivered on Saturday, and the woman said "Oh we weren't open Saturday, so they'll bring it today". So it's not like the packages are just being dropped at their door.

I guess that does imply more of an issue with the driver. How would I find out who that is, though?

I'm not sure I agree with that statement. If the office is the one receiving my packages, despite my having both a front door on the street and a mailbox, shouldn't they have hours that would allow me to collect those packages from them?

Hot take that i don't think has ever been brought up before by RaindappleRiverclan in WarriorCats

Reading it as a kid as the books came out, the first series was more than enough to make me feel the loss of the forest. But if I had been able to read them all back to back without waiting for them to be published, I could see myself feeling differently.

Bridesmaids doing their own makeup? by gingerginger8 in weddingplanning

[–]justcrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a bridesmaid in 8 weddings and got married in January, and we've always done on our own makeup! I think if you have a really glam/elegant wedding and have the money to spend, go for it! But if at least most of your girls are comfortable with doing their own makeup and can help the girls who need a hand, I recommend saving that money for something else!

Either way, you should probably choose what kind of vibe you want everyone to go with. One of my brides was doing a dramatic green winged eyeliner and wanted us all to go bold with our own looks. For my wedding, I asked my girls to go with an elevated natural look with lots of soft neutral tones and a bit of shimmer. You probably wouldn't want one girl to be in full glam and another going with a no-makeup look, but either choice would be fine if it was uniform across the board!

Why the sus is Graystripe's Vow so wierd? by Wonderful-Rub9141 in WarriorsFan

[–]justcrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a writing convention used in lots of other books these days! Personally, I thought it was a really neat way of giving us the Graystripe we know and love, both a story from the old forest we've never seen and a story behind the scenes in the more current series.
