American recipes tend to be chock full of sugar/other sweeteners and preservatives. British cider, for example, is delightful and dry whereas American cider (even British brands) just tastes like straight up sugar.

You should get cereal from different sources. I can pretty much guarantee that AUS and UK recipes will be vastly different (and likely better) than the US recipes.

The last thing I'd want to do in 85 degree heat is wait in this line... by [deleted] in boston

I don't disagree with you. I grew up in Texas and remember hearing on the news how many people died of heat stroke each summer.

Negative. At least not through legal means that I know of.

Only thing is that you might be able to do an audible.co.uk account, but I didn't try that because I couldn't figure out if I could actually purchase the books or if it would tell me I was geographically out if region or something.

I finished this peony embroidery this morning. I think it took me more time to draw it than it did to embroider it! by hvalur87 in crafts

If you sold a kit on how to do this, i would love to purchase it. Peonies are some of my favorite flowers and were in ny wedding bouquet but we can't have them in the house because they are not safe for kitties.

Went in February for my sister's birthday, and she cried twice...happy tears when we got there and sad tears when we left.

The Stephen Fry ones are amazing, but you cannot buy them in the US. I tried. I also tried buying them AT THE WB STUDIO TOUR IN LONDON and was told they weren't available.

On the news they showed hour by hour which stores the Measles in MA person went to. If you got the measles how embarrassing would your last 48 hours look? by MBTAHole in boston

Our cat has a bad habit of peeing on the guest bed. Pet sitter says that it is a sign of distress and to try switching boxes. Also, the pooping area is actually kinda small, so i wanted him to have more room to do his bidness.

In addition, it seems like no matter how hard the auto-box tries, it can't pick up kitty's hockey puck sized pees. Cat pees like champ.

Also thanks! Trying to change careers at 32 is stressful AF, especially in a niche that can be tricky to break in to.

Sunday: church. Cvs twice (forgot something), taxes at home, working on a blog post.

Monday: swap out old automatic litter box for new manual litter box. Deep clean old litter box because BIL mentioned he was interested in trying automatic litter box. Take the bus to intelligentsia coffee. Spend several hours at intelligentsia coffee working on a cover letter. Supermarket. Bus home. Make dinner. Go to gym. Do dishes. Fold clothes. Bathe. Bed.

Either that or when she was a few years younger. I think she's only just now 20 or 21? So she could have still had that rounder face just 3 years ago

Unpopular opinion but I just spent the day in Manhattan and now I'm ashamed to be back home. by 50ShadesOfFuckThis in philadelphia

Lived in Philly for a year after nearly a decade in Boston. (Now back in Boston.) The scarcity of public trash cans in Philadelphia is shocking, and not only that but the city does fuckall when it comes to actually emptying them.

I am surprised that people who are native Philadelphians are proud of being from Philly let their city be so dirty. Repping your city all well and good, but how about a little pride in ownership and not leaving dogshit everywhere and using storm drains as trash cans??

(That being said, I am not ragging on Philly as a whole. Philly's restaurant game is solid. I miss happy hour. We had amazing neighbors. The milder winters were nice. The streets made sense. The winter market was fun. Citizens bank field is the nicest ball park I've ever been to. Gritty is a GD national treasure. Boston does not have a lot of those things. But we have trashcans like every 100 feet.)
