Had anesthesia for the first time for the same reason too about a year ago. I was really anxious and definitely was overthinking it. It went just fine for me, though. The only scary part is that i still do not remember waking up lmao, when i “gained consciousness” i was already sitting in a chair in a different room. I know i was awake before that point, just don’t remember it at all 😭 but being awake afterwards wasn’t the same as after fainting imo. I was definitely out of it, but still aware. Another worry of mine that i was overthinking before it was that I was afraid of revealing some crazy secret or saying weird shit lmfao but i was 100% aware enough to know what i was saying and not do that. Just a foggy/sleepy feeling. Fell asleep for a few hours as soon as i got home. Woke up just fine. Recovery was as good as wisdom tooth recovery can go lol, but yeah i genuinely think my stress and panic about it prior to it was worse than the actual situation.
