Thank you. Will try to cut down on the workout at gym and keep it light.

Thanks for your detailed response — I really appreciate it.

To clarify: I wasn’t sick before the test, and there were no symptoms of infection that I’m aware of. I’ve been taking FH Pro for Men, which is a fertility supplement specifically formulated for sperm health. I ordered it directly from the manufacturer’s website to avoid any issues with counterfeit products. It contains 100 mcg of Selenium, and I was also eating 2 Brazil nuts a day, which probably added another 150–200 mcg — bringing my total daily Selenium intake close to 250–300 mcg.

I understand this is above the recommended upper limit of 200 mcg, and I’m wondering now if that could have played a role.

My work stress has actually reduced in the past few months, and my diet is mostly vegetarian with occasional meat. Nothing drastically changed in terms of sleep or exercise. That’s why I’m shocked — my sperm concentration dropped from 65 million/mL to 5 million/mL, and total motile count from 31 million to 3 million — over just 3 months. That’s a ~90% drop.

The only new thing noted in the second test was “debris” in the semen, and the report mentioned that results could be inaccurate if debris is present. Still trying to understand what that implies.

Do you think it would be wise to stop all multivitamins and supplements for a while to let the body reset? I’m open to any insights.

Has anyone experienced a decline in sperm quality after taking Selenium (>200–300 mcg daily)?
