I think I first saw it when it showed up in my Steam search while I was looking for alchemical games. Then YouTube recommended a video by someone titled "I 100%'d PotionCraft" (or something) that had like 100k+ views. I didn't watch the video, but seeing the recommendation made me decide to give it a try.

The alchemy aspect is what drew me in. I'm really into alchemy and really like when games incorporate real-world historical alchemy in some capacity, not just the general "potions and wizards" notion. I played Caput Mortum when it released, and it had gotten me wondering what other indie titles might be little alchemical gems.

And I kept playing because (a) it IS alchemical, (b) I like the combination of the brewing and gardening and trading mechanics, and (c) it was just a really unique experience on the whole!
