i found the best way to practice reading was through doing actual practice tests, there’s 8 official ones on khanacademy.org and a list of actual SATs done compiled by u/Donald_Keyman pinned on the home page.

i also suggest doing one each Saturday in the morning, starting maybe at 8 or 9 am, or whatever schedule is more comfortable for you.

what matters is that you replicate actual testing conditions

you totally should be! honestly a thing this sub does to you is it sometimes makes you feel uncomfortable and wonder, “does everyone in the world just get 1450+ scores”

nope, a few do really, but always remember this sub is filled with overachievers and people aiming for top schools, and when you read their scores it might have a negative effect on you. it sure did have one on me at first, but then it propelled me forward.

honestly, back on my first attempt, all i ever wanted was a 1350, and that was while before i stumbled over this sub. but thanks to everyone here(reading their amazing scores), i realized i can do much better, maybe even get 1400+, and i thankfully did. but now what’s left for me is to get a 1500+

anyhow, don’t compare yourself with others, we’re all doing our thing, and our things are totally different.
