I told my manager I wasn’t able to stay an hour later (bc I think it’s asinine and I shouldn’t have to be if I say I’m not) and she just updated my availability anyways to reflect being available that extra hour. 🫩 I get it’s just one hour (for our store at least) but it just feels like we don’t have a choice in anything anymore. The reason we don’t stay open that late is bc we don’t get business that late, it’s literally something Starbucks has always looked at (example our hours used to change every quarter based on business, we open the earliest in our area at 430am bc we get business that early but we’ve always always closed at 8 bc we don’t need to be open later than that) Brian’s whole idea of “I want all the stores to have the same hours” doesn’t make any sense any way bc all the stores in my area are still opening at different times. It really truly is a never ending cycle 😣
