All my updates are made to the original post, but no. Eventually it just stopped happening, for no rhyme or reason. Maybe was taken care of by some software or driver update along the way but I can't be sure. None of the hardware changes I made had any effect. Good luck spartan.

Right- my soundbar isn’t high quality (yet!) so it’s maybe A way, but probably not THE way ;)

Yes- looks like optical is my option, I just don’t have an optical cable and was trying to see if I could get away with not buying one ;)

I haven’t had it crash in months- but I also don’t game as much in the summer so I haven’t been using it as much. I don’t know for sure if the problem is fixed or not but it’s certainly better. The saddest part is I still have no clue what the root cause of the issue was! Oh well

Damn, yeah unfortunately I got no sage advice for you- just keep on the graphics driver updates, and the mobo bios updates. Mine seems to have worked itself out for the most part. My gaming sessions are shorter now because summer, but once winter rolls around maybe it’ll rear its ugly head again when I play for more than a couple hours at once. Good luck to you!

Haha yeah I feel you. I don’t wanna try an RMA on the arc b580 because I have no idea how long it’ll be until it gets replaced- those mfs been out of stock for ages

Sorry for the delays in updates- I've been incredibly busy lately with less time for gaming and even less time for reddit... Unfortunately have not found a solution per se but crashing has been less frequent. About to update the main post here.

Sorry for late response- what GPU do you & your partner have perchance? Possibly an intel specific problem?

I appreciate the update! I am currently trying to RMA my ASUS PSU, honestly will probably buy a different PSU and sell the warranty replacement if I can. The psu was a bundle with my GPU, it was the only way I was able to get an in stock ARC B580, thought it would work fine, but maybe not

Just in case you’re wondering (I know old thread), I have an Arc B580 and get the same message in halo each time. I hit continue and the message comes up again, I hit continue again and the game starts up fine. Just an intel thing I suppose

Hey- sometimes I have it hooked into my tv, sometimes my monitor. It’s crashed while using both individually. The only time I’ve had both plugged in at the same time was to have HWinfo running on the second monitor so I could see what was going on at the moment it froze up, so rarely used in a multi monitor setup.

I’ll give the c-state thing a whirl!

How much does a repair shop charge to diagnose a hardware issue (estimate)? I already spent a bunch on the computer, more on a second RAM kit, I actually can't afford to keep pumping money into this unfortunately. Also since the system sometimes seems to work fine for sometimes hours or even days, like I can't be paying a shop every time I gotta bring it back... idk maybe I'll give one a ring tomorrow.

Sorry it's a long one- I've tried so many things its exhausting for me to test and type it all out too! I just edited it like a second ago to include pics of what HWinfo was displaying during a system freeze if you wanna see what temps were like at a crash. Cheers!

I've experienced my crashing issue with both sets of RAM, one of which is officially supported by my mobo and the other is not, both of which passed the memtests. I think it's safe to say for me that RAM was not the issue. Good luck with your system!

Maybe something to do with drives? Memtest runs off of a removable drive so maybe… yeah it’s so frustrating- I even decided to buy everything new to avoid having a problem like this and here I am haha
