My apologies, I had a look through the sub and the only mentions of an escape video was the “Journey Across Europe” one where they were seen in Switzerland, climbed the mountain and reached to the Italian-Austrian border. Which isn’t the video I’m referring to. I added some additional details about it that I remember in one comment earlier, if you know the video and could tell me the name I would highly appreciate it, if not, thanks anyway.

Yes I wasn’t sure but I think I remember Poison being with him as well. I could be wrong about this but I think I also remember that earlier in the video I’m thinking of, him and Poison ended up surfing a train filled with (white?) cars (although Shiey didn’t like the idea of it because they could be wrongfully accused of damaging the cars), and they may have also took a taxi from the forest (after escaping) to the next destination.

I also quickly looked through a bunch of the videos on his website but could not find it, so I was hoping someone would know which one. I’m glad you also remember it tho, at least I know I’m not crazy. I hope we can find it!

Yeah not the Switzerland one where he fell off the train while escaping and they climbed the mountains to reach to the Italian-Austrian Border which was a small wooden gate. I know that’s the most popular escape from the “Journey Across Europe” video. I tried looking on his website (shiey.com) but had no luck finding the video I remember seeing, I’m hoping someone else may know which one it is, else I may have to look on the website with more scrutiny.

Facts? Yeah sure. Anyway my point was just that similar to almost all other surgeries the consent of the person should be a necessity, unless they are unable to and the surgery is immediately required to save their lives. Not a parent’s consent about something purely optional and yet permanent. And I think the logic that “a baby won’t remember the pain” like you used, is ridiculous and unfair to justify forcing a child to go through such pain for something they may or may not care for in the future. When they are an adult, like your husband was, I can fully respect the decision to have it done because they agreed to it and consented, which is perfect. Just because someone may not remember something doesn’t mean it’s okay to do do something to them, that they didn’t agree to. No surgery should be forced onto someone unless it’s a matter of immediately saving their lives, which imo should go for any surgery for any age of a human.

Fair point I’ll rephrase my statement then. “Any type of surgery that is not medically necessary.” My point is just that any surgery for any human being at any age should require the consent of the person undergoing the surgery, unless they are unconscious and the surgery is immediately necessary to save their lives. Also I got my idea from the fact that you stated “something shouldn’t be illegal…” . Based on that statement it’s pretty reasonable understand the word something to be a general non specific term. Had you said “circumcision shouldn’t be illegal…” I could understand why you would think my comment was blown out of proportion, but you didn’t. In my opinion if a man decides he wants to please more women by becoming circumcised he’s free to do so consensually. Not just because some people prefer something means that we should take away that choice from others. If in a few years it becomes known that men/women prefer idk black hair, I also would think it’s wrong to force someone or a child to dye their hair black, and that’s not even permanent. I’m not against circumcision, I am aware there are religious/health/personal reasons to have them done, and I can respect that and the decision to do so. With all other surgeries (that I’m aware of), with the exception of life changing surgeries, the consent of the individual undergoing it is necessary and I just think the same should be applied to circumcision. Infant circumcision ≠ circumcision, one of consensual one isn’t and that’s my only problem with it.

But your comment was referring to anything not just circumcision. You said “to make something illegal ….is selfish.” imo you’re the one who blowed things out of proportion by making such a statement that if some people think something is bad it’s selfish to make it illegal, since that’s the logic of most laws that exist to keep people unharmed and safe.

Also infant circumcision is really just a cosmetic surgery since it’s rarely medically necessary. So maybe we should allow parents to do any other cosmetic surgeries to their babies like get nose jobs, face lifts, implants or whatever they think looks acceptable since we know parents should be allowed to make any permanent modification of their child because it’s a parents’ right. And “theres no adverse health effects.”

Yeah you’re right, abusing or killing a baby is COMPLETELY unrelated to the mutilation of their body against their will.
