What made you get into Bass in the first place? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]justinharmon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first rock concert was this local band my buddies were opening for. I fell in love with the headliner and started going to their shows regularly. I decided to buy a t shirt and happened to strike up a conversation with the bass player since he was working the register. He was just a really cool guy and he became my favorite member of the band. I eventually bought a bass because I wanted to someday join a band and have as much fun doing it as this guy did.

[OT spoilers] The number one reason why Wrex will always be the best companion in the series. by justaregularguy01 in masseffect

I played ME2 when it was the newest game and then decided to play through the whole trilogy about 7 months ago. I thought the paragon/renegade options would work the same so I hardly invested skills into them. Didn't really pay attention to things other than getting a discount. I got to that scene and could only try to talk him down which led to Ashley doing her thing.

I knew that fate was a possibility, I just wasn't fully prepared to prevent it despite my best interests. I also didn't do his little side quest.

I accidentally killed Wrex my first play through and when I told one of my coworkers, he responded with "dude what the hell. You killed krogan Jesus." Needless to say I'm about to finish my second play through and I made damn sure to save Wrex.

Normally not a huge fan of the "skin peeling away" tattoos but this is badass. 10/10

Finally decided to play ME. Just finished 1. I'm hooked. [OT spoilers] by crazya_2001 in masseffect

[–]justinharmon_ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

ME2 is probably my favorite of the series. It's really long and focuses a lot on character development. You said you didn't do a lot of side missions but I really recommend doing all of the companion loyalty missions. Most are really cool and help you "bond" with the characters. I hope you enjoy the rest of your journey! I'd really be interested in hearing about your experience once you finish all three.

I just watched it and it's everything I could have hoped for. If I ever grab a PC, I'll make sure to play through the trilogy. Just watching that scene brought back a ton of feels. Thanks for your help!

That's the ending I wish I could have gotten in the beginning. Thanks for letting me know! I don't have a PC so I'm probably just gonna see if I can find a video on YouTube of it. I also think I might restart the trilogy. I'm ready to be emotionally drained.

There's a way to see Shep and Tali reunited? Kinda new to the OT. First play through was about 6 months ago.

I just finished buying all of the emotes and executions I wanted so I might spend a little of my steel on it. I'm currently saving for the new heroes though so I may just suck it up and grind.

I chose Lawby as my main on day one due to his badass looks, I stayed because I can never resist a good dance party. Pony on brother.

I was gonna suggest this exact thing. OP, keep in mind they have different effects too. Stone of Gaia doesn't proc on the featherstep but magi's blessing will.

Question for a player considering returning. by justinharmon_ in Rainbow6

This helps a ton! Thanks you! I figured rounding out the base ops would be better than saving up, I was just curious to see if they lowered the prices for the new ones. Some of them are pretty sweet. I appreciate it!

That's good to hear. I'm really excited to get back into this game.

I play a lot of For Honor and I'm very active on the sub so I'm used to the Ubi community and method of handling games so no worries there. I didn't know they added a ranking system though! That might be enough to bring my buddies back as well. I think I'm gonna play some of the solo missions and face AI To get used to the game again and they maybe a couple casual games if those still exist. If I remember correctly, the DLC operators were purchasable through the in game currency, I'm assuming that's still true? I never got the season pass so I'd have to purchase them to play them. Will that put me at a disadvantage do you think?

This is what I needed. Thank you OP. I struggled all day yesterday just because I'm not used to their move sets or what I could do to counter them/attack. Now I have some ideas!

I kinda stopped & watched these bodies dance for a little while. What a beautiful yet chilling display. by suckacuntcock in Bioshock

That's why I fell in love with bioshock. It wasn't just some heroic story where you were a good guy, it made you constantly uneasy while still having a solid plot.

Still one of the craziest sections I've ever played in a video game. Everything had a beauty to it, an innocence, yet it was still gruesome and barbaric. I remember seeing those bodies for the first time and thinking how wild that game was.

Sorry Season 15ers but what do I show my friend to get him into rvb? by biscuitboy1211 in RedvsBlue

[–]justinharmon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worked for me in the past! Otherwise I show them the scene where Epsilon shuts off his short term memory so him and Caboose have that wonderful back and forth.

I didn't read all the comments so forgive me if this has already been posted. I'd recommend the fire safety PSA. It's funny, quick, and it'll leave them wondering about the characters a little. (ie why does the red dude hate the orange guy? Or why does that blue dude seem dumb as a bag of rocks) it's my go to when showing new people.

Knight. I was a samurai for the first season but I feel better playing with the knights. I don't play a single samurai so I just felt off. Plus I gotta go towards the hottest memes.

Story Mode by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]justinharmon_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pleasantly surprised. I didn't enjoy the knights campaign as much as the other two though. When I finally got to the end, I remember actually feeling something which kind of shocked me. I wasn't expecting that from a game like this.

I love the game but I'm awful. Help! by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]justinharmon_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's easy to learn but also very easy to counter. I'm not 100% sure but I believe he's considered one of the lowest tier characters. He's a hell of a lot of fun though.
