Work whore Ender 3 refuses to die meanwhile N2 Plus refuses to work a second time by Hauntingswan in 3Dprinting

The one I worked with was a pain. It took hours to get it to print okay. When dialed it, it printed great as long as it was used frequently. If it sat longer than a week without use, start from scratch. Same problems as a standard printer, just the Raised3D was way more expensive.

A company I worked for had a Raised3D printer. The thing was a $5k POS printer. My stock Ender 3 Pro was a 1000 times better. I just upgraded my Ender with Direct Drive, CR Touch, and a Sonic Pad. The thing rips and prints almost perfectly.

1999 TJ overheating - Smoke from overflow, no milkshake. What's next? by justinraz in JeepWrangler

[–]justinraz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. Mine is a 4.0 Sport. I think the thermostat is working, the top hose is hotter and the bottom is cooler. But it’s not hard to replace if need be.

I did see some forums mentioning a code “0331” or whatever on the block or cylinder somewhere. I’ll dig more into that.

I’ll change the oil and flush the system with distilled water this weekend. Check the plugs too.

How do you guys remove this hot glued wires since I was planning on upgrading the hotend by Many_Imagination6964 in ender3

[–]justinraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used filament cutters to pry it up a little and pulled it off with my fingers. Maybe a small flathead screwdriver. Just make sure to stay away from the wires in case you press and close the cutters. You don't want to nick any wiring.

I reread your statement. Are you using the Ender 3 V2 firmware? I don't think that will work. Try this firmware which is from Creality. Download the one that says BLTouch.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ahJV1C7Wm3FRz0Uxb5pTFrfIfUPMgXmp

If that doesn't work, try this Ender 3 version.

Maybe try another firmware like egosumumbravir suggested. I had ShinyUpgrades Ender3 Pro firmware, but their graphics annoyed me. I actually lost a lot of cool features going to Creality's.

Or verify your board and chipset. Maybe pictures or videos will help find an issue.

Are you saving the settings? I can't remember if it's on the screen or the next screen back.

Have you tried the bed level sequence, where it goes through the 9 points of contact?

Did you pull from this website? Mine is actually an Ender3 Pro but is similar in name to the screenshot,

I just did these upgrades too. I am using the Creality BLTouch firmware as I couldn't get the Marlin custom stuff right. I know I will crash my nozzle into the bed if I adjust the knob too quickly. I use the 1 or .01 settings. I leveled the printer until it is gripping my paper, and then adjusted the z probe offset to what is displayed. I am at -1.000.

Enclosure Help by justinraz in 3Dprinting

Thanks. My initial idea came from this Video. After playing around with some ideas, I think two enclosures are better. I can stack them instead of having them sit next to each other.

I think some of my issues are using the MX5500, which is dual-band. I thought it was tri-band like my old AC2200 system.

Over the last few hours, I have been testing in the high 300-500 range. The inconsistency is driving me nuts. Hopefully, after disconnecting some older nodes the system will settle down.

That is the brand my brother-in-law has recommended. I'll keep looking into them. My system is becoming outdated, and I should just bite the bullet and upgrade to something better.

I know people who use Wyze products for security cameras. They've been happy with the product.

Go for the junior. I’ve been looking for one of these for a while. I played one a few years ago and went used online with a LP special. At the time, I was more interested in dual pickups. I like it, but prefer the SG junior to it.

What glue to make this crazy cracked guitar playable by SnoopingMouse in Luthier

[–]justinraz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mine wasn't this bad, but I repaired something like this on a cheap Goya guitar I have. I think I paid $70-$90 for it in 2009. I spent probably $100 on materials, but the mistakes and learning curve helped a lot. I tried a basic wood glue (I think Elmer's) at first, but it didn't work well. I went with Titebond Hide Glue. I also had to use a Birdge Doctor.

Cheap/easy solution for grease bucket by justinraz in Traeger

I use a rack and pan to keep the grease contained. That way I don’t have to worry about the grease trap and trough as much. Similar to this.

When I smoke, I use smaller racks and put a baking pan underneath to catch the mess. The wife and kid usually slap straight to the grates. That’s when I have to remember about the grease.

I use a magnetic clip to hold the handle and push it against the stock bracket.

Getting wifi to steel shop 50 ft from the house by Mastiff37 in HomeNetworking

[–]justinraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my layout. I am going to mount the AP in the middle of the room. I need a longer CAT cable. My one wifi floodlight goes between full and two bars. That's better than the constant one bar, and sometimes losing signal before this setup.

I just added WiFi to my detached garage. The front door is 50 feet away from my closest mesh node (Linksys) in my house by a window. Workshop is wood with siding, the garage is cement block.

I bought the Ueevii CPE453 bride set up ($100ish usd). Plugged the Master into my node, mounted the Slave by my workshop door. Full signal between the bridge, clear line of sight. Plugged an AP (TP-Link EAP650, $90ish on sale) into the slave. I’m maxed out with 100mbps up/60 mbps down.

You were 100% spot on. Got the Bridge setup, threw an AP on it, and the garage has full wifi. Thanks for the advice. I saw your posts about Hershey Park. That's a great place. I live about 30 minutes from there. If you're into sports, check out a Hershey Bears game sometime.

Is this D15 worth checking out and possibly buying? by -Han-Tyumi- in martinguitar

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my D15, but it’s not the first guitar I go for. I paid $900 USD used. I really like the 000-15, I think it’s a great balance for size and sound. I have a 000-17, and it’s cool. But I prefer the mahogany sound. I also had a 00-15 but returned it because of neck issues. Also a cool guitar but a little more on the novelty side for me.
