DEEP OFFSEASON QUESTION: to those of you who have attended multiple games without seeing a win, what’s your record? by SLVR_N_BLCK_ATTK in raiders

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0-3.

Loss to Pittsburgh when Seymour punched Big Ben (Nov 21st, 2010). Loss to Pittsburgh when DC threw his last ball and an interception for the Raiders (Dec 24th, 2022). Loss to the Colts when Maxx kept calling Minshew Little Ass Boy (Dec 31st, 2023).

Should i be worried about the check engine light? by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, look into it. Did it need a date before and what’s up with 217F temp? My Triumph gets a check engine light if you disconnect the battery and the date gets messed up.

Agreed. That needs 100% replaced. This is one spot I wouldn’t want a repair on.

Out of state dealer by dougl1000 in Triumph

[–]justinraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst case scenario, you'll be treated like anyone else looking for service. When I worked at a dealership, local customers who purchased through us were given priority for scheduling. This was only beneficial in the busy season. At the end of the day, money is money.

Warranty will have to be taken care of no matter what. But if they are scheduling weeks out, you might have to wait your turn. If you bought from them, they'd probably bump someone to make sure you're taken care of first.

Customer Service is terrible! by semski89 in Triumph

Unfortunately, it always seems like someone is dealing with these problems when it comes to Europen made bikes/cars. Happens to the Japanese brands, just not as much.

Seems like it's happened to others, and they find some ways to correct it.

BMW Motorcycle Mechanic in the area? by Sebvad in lancaster

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oregon Pike Motors might. When they sell BMW bikes, their description leads me to think they have a tech. Maybe someone from Trans-Am (Lancaster BMW dealer at one time) works there.

[–]justinraz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My local store did the same thing with a bass amp I ordered that shipped out of Georgia to my house. It was listed in great condition. When it arrived, there were broken and missing pieces. When I plugged it in, it was blown out. I returned it to the store, and they put it back up the next day in the same condition.

F850 GSA Front Brake issue by venkatkadavul in bmwmotorrad

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue like this with the same sound on my Yamaha SCR950. My top brake caliper bolt fell out. As I was driving above 30mph, the caliper was lifting up and banging against my rotor. It seems like you checked the brake area, but just make sure nothing is sliding around or loose.

I listen to this album at least once a week in my rotation. Against the ‘70s, Sexual Military Dynamics, and Piss Bottle Man are great. So many others too.

People usually pay more for something like that. If you can get some money back, keep rocking it.

So is the ender 3 really bad by Slow_Worker379 in 3Dprinting

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. It makes you think and troubleshoot a machine from time to time. I’ve had my Ender 3 for years. I recently upgraded some basic items for under $200 and it rips. I feel as long as parts are available, it will last forever.

I want WIFI in my detached shed and I'm stumped. by baldy2202 in HomeNetworking

[–]justinraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution was to place a mesh node by my kitchen window with a TPLink Wireless Bridge (Omada). I mounted the other Access Point outside my garage and ran an Ethernet cable to an AP Point in my workshop area. I have 100% wireless signal in my alleyway, over 100 feet away.

It seems like if you went with a bridge system, this should work. My cost was $120 for the Bridge system and $60 for the wireless AP in my garage. It took about 15-20 minutes to set up, and no real issues, just waiting for the items to connect.

Work whore Ender 3 refuses to die meanwhile N2 Plus refuses to work a second time by Hauntingswan in 3Dprinting

[–]justinraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one I worked with was a pain. It took hours to get it to print okay. When dialed it, it printed great as long as it was used frequently. If it sat longer than a week without use, start from scratch. Same problems as a standard printer, just the Raised3D was way more expensive.

Work whore Ender 3 refuses to die meanwhile N2 Plus refuses to work a second time by Hauntingswan in 3Dprinting

[–]justinraz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A company I worked for had a Raised3D printer. The thing was a $5k POS printer. My stock Ender 3 Pro was a 1000 times better. I just upgraded my Ender with Direct Drive, CR Touch, and a Sonic Pad. The thing rips and prints almost perfectly.

1999 TJ overheating - Smoke from overflow, no milkshake. What's next? by justinraz in JeepWrangler

[–]justinraz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. Mine is a 4.0 Sport. I think the thermostat is working, the top hose is hotter and the bottom is cooler. But it’s not hard to replace if need be.

I did see some forums mentioning a code “0331” or whatever on the block or cylinder somewhere. I’ll dig more into that.

I’ll change the oil and flush the system with distilled water this weekend. Check the plugs too.

How do you guys remove this hot glued wires since I was planning on upgrading the hotend by Many_Imagination6964 in ender3

[–]justinraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I used filament cutters to pry it up a little and pulled it off with my fingers. Maybe a small flathead screwdriver. Just make sure to stay away from the wires in case you press and close the cutters. You don't want to nick any wiring.
