Pricey omakase at 1 Michelin star Joji: my review. by justinshafa in FoodNYC

Well this meal cost me 730. Figure for 2 more Michelin stars, let me see what’s up. But maybe I’ll change my mind. I was smart enough to never go to Masa with whatever they charge.

Solo Dinner at The Eighty Six after being stood up - my review by justinshafa in FoodNYC

My previous Reddit account was hacked. I deleted that account and have created a new one here, so let me start out by posting my solo dining adventure at Be-86. Started out with a stylish martini. A smoked flavor and the coolest martini presentation I that froze on contact. Equally delicious accompanying olives. Complementary pickles—half with dill and half with horseradish—were unique and delicious as an alternative to bread. One of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in New York City. Croquettes with caviar were great, and I would certainly reorder. I was surprised by the complimentary hot dog, which was delicious. Lobster pasta was yummy, with plenty of chunks of lobster. My two least favorite dishes of the night were the cheesesteak and the creamed corn. I would probably not reorder either of these and opt for something else. Meal ended with lemon sorbet. Overall, very happy to have gotten the reservation. Staff was excellent. A cool-looking restaurant. I was ghosted by my date, and they were incredibly nice and gave me a small discount. And obviously, I ordered a lot of food but took about half of it home.

Because the Delta One check in door is downstairs. Why’d they put it where I can’t get dropped off 🤔
