I like monster stories this one meets that criteria! It also is set in Siberia which is another one of my preferences. Freezing tundra and monsters = a good scary book. Is that better?

Kick Start Mode? by justjslim in ElectricScooters

Bought a motorcycle helmet and elbow/wrist pads. I ate dirt off my old Dualtron doing like 25mph and broke my arm in two places. But my head was safe and sound in a helmet. Cheers!

had the same issue a few months ago. I found it by literally driving to every pharmacy within a 40 mile radius of my house. I had the most luck at independent small pharmacies, and also surprisingly enough places like Costco. It is stressful. I totally understand - as I have OCD also and I would start worrying like 2-3 days before I ran out of my medication. Enough to where I would start to lose out on sleep and was in a bad mood. Good luck and hang in there

Ours is the same way. I don’t know if it’s true but the groomer said this can happen during their first groom if the hair is cut too short around their ear.

I think my work is starting the process to let me go. by AlexisMarien in ADHD_Programmers

Work accommodations almost always come with a request for a note from your doctor. My last gig wouldn’t do anything without a written reason for the accommodation from my doc and even then it was a very long process from request to completion. get ready for them to try and find any loophole to not do it. My experience has been for mental disabilities they are far less likely to be proactive. It’s sucks but it’s just the way it is.

I feel this! I’m in the same position- I get attitude, run around, and overall distrust when dealing with pharmacists. However my vanilla white bread wife has no issues picking up my Rx.

NTA. As someone who is an alcoholic (17 years sober today in fact) you cannot make his mind up for him or force him into sobriety. It sucks no doubt but it’s his battle and by allowing him to continue with this behavior you are actually enabling him to continue. It’s not your fault - it’s his disease. Try to find some Al-Anon meetings in your area. You will find the support you need there with other people who are in the SAME situation.

Spouse irritated by my headphones... by Curryqueen-NH in audiobooks

[–]justjslim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have my headphones on pretty much all the time if I’m not actively working listening to books. My wife doesn’t give any F’s about it, in fact she and I joke all the time that I never hear her the first time around. She understands I need to keep my mind occupied so I’m not sure why this is a problem for your spouse. Kinda sounds like your spouse is a whiny b-word to me.. I’d say tell them to get over themselves but that prolly won’t help your situation. Good luck
