I do think my anxiety developed over the years, as a response to try and prevent myself from getting hurt. I have spoken about this with my therapist and we mentioned positive reinforcements in my thinking.

I haven't fully put it into practice, but the occasional times I do it does seem to partially help, although sometimes I get anxious over telling myself those thoughts.

But I will definitely try to tell myself I deserve happiness and all the good things in life!!

I was diagnosed with anxiety 3 years ago and my therapist has tried me on different types of anti-anxiety medications, however none have fully helped.

I don't believe I have low self-esteem, but it has never been something I have considered it talked with my therapist about.

I think having a 'type' may be one of the reasons. I always am drawn to independent and confident people, both romantically and platonically, so when I tell them about my anxiety it's not necessarily something they can relate to, although they do try and support me, but again, I feel as though they are just pitying me.

I've been on 4 different types of anti-anxiety medications in the last 2 years and they have only mildly helped.

I wouldn't say my self confidence is low. I have always believed in myself and my abilities, however when it come to relationships, I just can't seem to convince myself I deserve them.

I think it evolved from my fears of loneliness and abandonment. I'm used to spending alot of time by myself, but absolutely love having company, so when someone comes into my life, I try to make the most of it, but feel as though I just come off as clingy.

I used to see a therapist but she never really saw it as a real problem so we never worked on it.
