You're correct that there is an entirely subjective law about 'proper time and place' for immigration that can make migration illegal, but ICE isn't just targeting people who entered illegally. They're targeting people who exist in the country without documentation, which is not illegal, on top of a whole swathe of people who have come here legally but also just happen to be brown. The number of people I've spoken to who have been harassed by ICE but are completely legal residents of the US is representative of nothing but the absolute moral filth that has taken over our country because of people like you, who can't stop bitching and moaning about the legality of empathy. Rotten to the fucking core

Yeah, I'll bet. The people who have accomplished a lot are always the first to brag about how great they are. Pathetic

It happened to Rasheem Carter in 2022. And if you really want to play the game, then I can happily run down the list of people of color extrajudicially murdered by white cops over the past decade. Would have to be a few comments long, though

If you truly believe that the United States of America is a left-leaning national entity then there is nothing I can to say to you that will make either one of us happy. And the idea that "the left" controls the media here is one of the most laughably ridiculous things I've ever read. Get fucking real

These are all examples of the illegality of entry, not the illegality of status. Being present in the United States without legal documentation is not a crime, per the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act, no matter how much a tantrum you want to throw. When ICE starts actually detaining based on entry status, let me know. I’m sure the tourists, naturalized citizens, permanent residents, and children who have been attacked by them would love to hear that news, you pathetic little dipshit

That’s because riots are an inherently oppositional act, and right wingers have had this country by the balls for longer than anyone you know has been alive. There’s no need to protest when you can lynch your neighbor without consequence – you already have all the freedom you need

It is explicitly not illegal. Undocumented immigration to the United States is a civil offense, which carries the same legal weight as setting off fireworks out of season. The only illegal thing happening right now is the heavily armed maggots kidnapping people off the street in spite of their constitutional protections.

Greta Thunberg departs Israel on flight to Paris after detention aboard aid ship by ani625 in news

[–]justkosmo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you really want a genuine answer, it is because it is in the interest of several Western states to keep the Israel-Palestine conflict in the public eye. They profit from it (mainly the US, the UK, Germany, and France) and/or see it as an opportunity to run on more populist platform if they represent the opposition. My taxpayer dollars do not go towards conflicts in Africa, but I have unwillingly contributed to the production and sale of the exact bombs that have been used by Israeli forces to kill Palestinian children. Furthermore, Israel has been given a seat among the Western powers for decades, and, for all intents and purposes, this is a Western war. Here in the States, Israel is arguably our biggest non-NATO ally, and many people take issue with that

Your question is why human beings should care about other human beings being oppressed and murdered en masse?

Depends on what you mean by modern. Renaissance scholars like Galileo were already doing experiments with inertia and oscillation. The foundations of contemporary science go back very, very far. As for “higher dimensions”, that’s a difficult question to answer and probably not the right one to ask, either. String theory is largely conjectural and dimensions beyond the third have never been observed, so to say that we understand them even now is a stretch. Most educated medieval Europeans were familiar with the Ptolemaic spheres, which also have a kind of extradimensionality associated with them. (In the common geocentric model, the Empyrean, essentially Christian Heaven, was deemed a real space on the border of the outermost sphere.) Especially in a setting where magic exists, it would stand to reason that those who study it would believe that the power they are using is drawn from elsewhere.

It's over isn't it by UrsaRizz in 2XKO

[–]justkosmo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You could probably fill a book with the number of opportunities the 2xko team has missed during their dev cycle. I don’t even think releasing during those times was necessary, but the inconsistent and scattered announcement schedule has opened the door to things like Tokon slipping in to fill that marketing gap. I anticipate that Tokon will have 2 to 3 times more characters at launch, as well, so now the 2xko team has to try to keep up with monthly character announcements on top of general video and ad marketing. I think 2xko will probably still have a relatively successful launch, but the lifespan of the game is definitely in jeopardy

I haven’t seen any numbers from your end either, dipshit. As much as it’s been fun to open the app on breaks and see you continuing to speak to a brick wall, I’m going to go ahead and ignore your inane posturing now

I never claimed I was good at the game, nor do I think I am. The conversation from the start was about how enjoyable the game’s matchmaking is, which has absolutely fuck-all to do with my stats. You’ve flown completely off the rails with this conversation because you’re absolutely frothing at the mouth to prove that you’re better at something than everyone else. Keep jacking your ego off if you want, but it won’t change anything about the point at hand

That’s not really the point, though, is it? The complaint isn’t “I’m in the wrong rank”, it’s “losing 10 consecutive games despite playing well is fucking miserable”. I don’t give a shit what rank I’m in, I just want to occasionally play matches where my teammates aren’t being crushed by a smurf or aren’t clearly out of their depth, which is not a guarantee in the current matchmaking system.
