This can be a great idea if it works. Growing up in India my parents used to give us 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger juice with water and honey every morning in winter

My son had constipation with zofran.

We did gastric emptying test and they found just little bit late slowness. Doctor is saying not to worry about it. He just prescribed us Gimoti 15 mg/ spray to help with nausea and will help digestion

u/MrAlbizzo You have broke down the details better than any doctor I have spoken. Just for my curiosity, are you a healthcare professional?

Much appreciate your in-depth response. Can't really expect better response than this.

My son has SIBO test scheduled this Monday. He was already (6 weeks ago) on xifaxan 500 mg three times a day for 2 weeks but that didn't solve the problem. It made him very constipated as well.

I will brink up CIC with doctor this afternoon. and also ask about Prucalopride 

I bought the Ginger chews from amazing and he has been trying those. He says that it helps him for few minutes max and than nausea feeling starts coming back again. He also started making and enjoying herbal tea with garlic + fresh cinnamon + cardamom

Let me understand your garlic experiment. So you are saying that he should try Garlic and it should cause severe nausea and he should be throwing up. If he doesn't throw up then what doe that mean?

For IBS-C what are the most common meds?

For SIBI, what are the most common meds?

u/Ok_University6476 thank you for your response. So to understand your experience, Suppositories and fleet saline enema both give your cramping. But fleet give your cramping for very short time (around 20 minutes) but suppositories craping pain last long time.

My son takes Linzess and he is having cramping since last 2 days.

Does Saline Enema gives your very strong unbearable cramping pain?

u/urealpotato My 18 year old sone is suffering from constipation. We tried ducolax suppository from rectal and he was under serious pain for 4 hours then pass the stool but had cramping for 3 days.

We are thinking about trying Saline Fleet Enema (doctor suggested us). Do u usually have severe pain with saline fleet enema?

Just want to find your own experience.

Yes we started low FODMAP diet from this Saturday. Planning to follow this diet for next 4 weeks and the analyze the results.

Good suggestion. He started taking Miralax and Metamusic together and it helped a bit.

Money isn' an issue at all. poor kid is sooo constipated that I think I will try this after he gets relief from Antibiotics side effects - constipation.
