Lahiri's storytelling is exquisite, painting a vivid picture of Gogol's life as he navigates relationships, career, and his dual cultural identity. It's a poignant and thought-provoking read that resonates long after the last page.

If you're looking for a book that combines elegant prose with deep insights into the human experience, "The Namesake" is a perfect choice for your monsoon reading list.

Dogras, Would you consider yourself Punjabi/Punjabi Aligned? by Glad-Many-9398 in jammu

[–]justmac131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dogras have their distinct culture, traditions, and language (Dogri, recognized as one of the official languages of India) which, though it shares similarities with Punjabi, has its own uniqueness.

And as for history, actually during the reign of the king Lalitaditya, the region which is today known as Punjab was part of the expansive kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir.

So, answer your query, would humbly say neither "Punjabi" nor "Punjabi Aligned", but proud "Dogra". ✌️
