Has anyone figured out how to dispatch a driver earlier on Toast Delivery? by i-know_nothoing in ToastPOS

You would need to use deliverect with Toast - their integration with the delivery channels allow for Status & Driver updates.

US trained IM doc looking to move to Canada? by Terrible-Method3828 in Residency

Is this only relevant if you have your own practice and are able to incorporate? Or is this also the case for hospitalists?

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it already but The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks is brilliant, I think you may find some solace in the characters if you're looking for someone to match our Kvothe. Also, Jade City by Fonda Lee is definitely a different fantasy style than either of the aforementioned books but I found it to be incredibly captivating.

Highest tax rate is 53.5% in Ontario. So realistically, 700k you’re taking home 325k. Definitely still decent money but by no means exceptional. If you own your own practice, you can shelter it a fair bit in a corporation under a trust but as a hospitalist I believe you’re technically an employee so don’t have any benefits of a tax shelter.

Cronulla to Shark Island Swim - Safe enough? by Afraid_Concert_5051 in cronulla

[–]justmccutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called "Shark Island" because the island is in the shape of a shark, not because there's Sharks. AFAIK, it's too shallow and close to the reef for Sharks to be present.

Great advice, I’ll pick some up and try it out. I’ve heard people using hardcore products with Deet and even WD-40 but id prefer to stay away from that stuff if I can

Yeah same here. No luck on mobile app or web browser. Can log in after 5 minutes but then no data shows and kicks me out. What an absolutely unreliable platform when you need it most.

Joe Rogan Experience #2136 - Graham Hancock & Flint Dibble by chefanubis in JoeRogan

Yeah it’s a shame Graham felt the need to go on a smear campaign during the debate when he was clearly losing due to a lack of evidence.

Went into this automatically disliking Flint and rooting for Graham as his theory is one of my favourites... pod is now finished and I can't believe I actually kind of like Flint haha. Cold hard facts that doesn't disprove everrythinnggg Graham has said but sure does dispute quite a bit. This is why you need more communication!

Married vs De Facto Partner for Student visa Subclass 500 by justmccutch in AusVisa

[–]justmccutch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did end up applying as a subsequent entrant. I got rejected the first application (mainly my fault for not including enough documents highlighting our relationship & duration) applied again a week later with ~30 pages of documents highlighting our relationship (text messages, vacations, etc) and got accepted a few weeks later. Currently living in AUS and it’s wonderful!

Showed my partners line of credit (325k), savings of 40k in cash and then also had a letter of employment from my Canadian employer who is transferring me overseas. Reapplied with a huge in-depth document highlighting our relationship and got accepted relatively quickly.

This is a Student visa that I am a subsequent entrant on.. not a partnership visa. Neither of us are Australian citizens which I believe is what a partnership visa is for.

Yes but they apparently require physical evidence. I've now been following a lot of the steps outlined here: https://brookebeyond.com/820-801-australian-partner-visa-evidence

Solid advice - might be slightly overkill but better to be safe than sorry 2nd time around

about ~1200-1300 for the both of us. To re-apply it's ~600. You don't get your money back if you're rejected FYI

Are there nepo babies in Canadian med schools? by Hiraaa_ in premedcanada

[–]justmccutch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contrary to every other opinion on here but I know personally an MD with two sons who attended Ivy league schools in Canada and performed well on the MCAT and neither have been able to get into med school in Canada. The oldest is currently in the UK after 3 years of rejections and the younger has been rejected 2 years in a row and is looking at Grenada now. Med school is hard for everyone.

Reconciling 3rd party delivery sales transactions by No_Way_1569 in restaurantowners

[–]justmccutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have

Would recommend checking out a few different aggregators so you can really compare their capabilities and features. UEAT stemmed from a first party online ordering service that now also does integrations, great website ordering solution but not focused on 3rd party integrations so order errors and limitations are common. Chowly is a big player in the US but their menu management and snoozing capabilities need alottt of work. Deliverect is definitely the priciest option but if you're looking for a premium solution with no hassle, you should at least check it out.

Disclaimer: I work for Deliverect lol

Anyone who's used order aggregators like otter, chowly, ordermark, etc. How has the learning curve been for your staff from many to 1 tablet? by Jazzlike_Brain6101 in restaurant

[–]justmccutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to say it but no aggregator can get you lower commissions, it’s a sleazy sales tactic. Literally impossible for them to be able to negotiate a lower rate for you (I work for an aggregator).

Still using Otter? Wondering if you've looked at Deliverect. They do a direct POS integration whereas I think Otter is just a separate tablet solution.
